John Bottino has been appointed General Manager at The Ranch Hudson Valley in Sloatsburg
As General Manager of The Ranch Hudson Valley, John Bottino oversees all logistics of the daily structured schedule including The Ranch's signature morning hikes and creating and managing a vibrant team of program managers, hiking guides practitioners and instructors while supporting guests on their journey towards improved well-being. With a background in hospitality and health, Bottino brings industry knowledge and an innate ability to care for and nurture individuals.
Prior to joining The Ranch, Bottino honed his skills in a variety of hospitality roles, gaining invaluable experience during his time at Carpedia Hospitality as a Senior Consultant. In this role, he meticulously analyzed the existing strategies of several hospitality companies, identifying areas for improvement. By implementing targeted changes across departments such as rooms, food & beverage, casinos, and spas, Bottino not only enhanced guest satisfaction but also significantly boosted profitability. This position allowed Bottino to see firsthand how his guidance could positively shape the guest experience and profitability for the company.
He then moved on to become General Manager at The Nantucket Resort Collection. Here, he managed three properties after a complete renovation and the addition of new guest rooms. From overseeing the construction to exceeding budget forecasts, this role taught him how to maintain the property's brand mission while also driving business. This experience also afforded him the opportunity to do something he deeply enjoys, engaging directly with guests to enhance their stays and fostering lasting relationships with them.
Bottino then joined The Ranch team nearly a year ago where he spent time training in Malibu to better understand the brand's culture, daily operations and most importantly the guest experience before leading The Ranch's pop-up program in Vail last Fall. This experience helped to prepare him for his next step as General Manager in Hudson Valley and develop relationships with The Ranch's loyal Alumni community. Bottino is also a certified yoga instructor, allowing him to not only lead with industry expertise but also with a personal devotion to wellness to impart upon guests.
