Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay has appointed José Manuel Molina as General Manager as the hotel opened its doors for 2024. Molina joins the helm from OKU Hotels where he spent a year prior as General Manager.
Bringing a wealth of hospitality experience and a strong passion for training and development, José Manuel plans to maximise results and resources, applying learnings from his 35-year career and supporting the hotel into its busy spring and summer season. José Manuel is passionate about going above and beyond to make the guest experience as special and memorable as possible, ensuring every stage of the journey feels, bespoke, personalised and special - from booking through to departure.
An island native, José Manuel, will bring extensive Ibiza insider/local knowledge and expertise. A known name in the local community, and with experience of some of the world's best luxury hotels, he will bring exacting standards, attention to detail and genuine foodie credentials, as well as native islander insights, passion, heart and a love for Ibiza that will translate into his community-led work at the property. This is already evidenced through the implementation of various campaigns and partnerships including those with local initiatives and practitioners, such as Ibicine Film Festival partnership, Sa Coma Dog Shelter/Dog Spaw initiative and the Holistic Hike retreats.
Prior to his role at OKU Hotels, Molina spent 20+ years at Palladium Hotel Group. During his tenure, he was Managing Director of several properties in both Ibiza and the Caribbean, delivering exceptional authentic experiences and personalised service for guests. During his time at Palladium Hotel Group, José Manuel also spent time as the Managing Director of Regional Operations of the Canary Islands.
José Manuel has earned prestigious accolades during his career such as a Five Star award for BLESS Hotel Ibiza in the Forbes Travel Guide. He also supported with the successful achievement of Palladium Hotel Group's first Michelin Star, awarded to Etxeko restaurant by Martín Berasategui in BLESS Hotel Ibiza - highlighting exceptional service and quality of food.
