Alex Drown has been appointed as Director of Sales at The Newman
The Newman is delighted to announce the appointment of Alex Drown as Director of Sales, ahead of its opening next spring.
Holding more than 18 years' experience in the luxury and lifestyle hotel markets across London and New York, Drown brings extensive knowledge from The Newman's key markets. Previous roles include Claridge's, Mayfair; The Curtain, Shoreditch, Nobu London Portman Square and Gansevoort Meatpacking, New York City.
Drown's appointment at The Newman marks a return to his home, London, following a role as Director of Leisure Sales at Gansevoort. After an extensive renovation, Drown was instrumental in restoring the hotel to its former glory and reintroducing the property to travel partners from around the world.
The Newman is the first hotel from international management company Kinsfolk & Co. Sitting on its namesake Newman Street in Fitzrovia, The Newman fits effortlessly into London's creative village of Fitzrovia where the culture of Bloomsbury meets the style of Soho.
