Jeff David has been appointed as General Manager at Six Senses La Sagesse
Six Senses La Sagesse is delighted to announce the appointment of Jeff David as General Manager. Jeff takes the helm at the debut Six Senses in the Caribbean, which opened in April this year and is located in the parish of St. David, Grenada.Jeff brings an impressive background spanning over thirty years in the luxury hospitality industry to Six Senses La Sagesse, the brand's first in the Americas. A former recipient of the prestigious Hotelier of the Year Award in Anguilla, Jeff's expertise to date includes positions in luxury brand operations as well as hotel start-ups and time spent overseeing high net worth, high-profile luxury assets. Jeff has also led a number of international asset management projects under his own company, Jeff David Hospitality, founded in 2017.Jeff started his career in hospitality as a dishwasher while attending the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), whereafter he spent six years as GM with Viceroy Hotels & Resorts. Jeff has been instrumental in opening and operating several properties such as Santa Monica Proper in Santa Monica, the historic Knickerbocker Hotel on 42nd and Broadway and Viceroy Palm Springs. Jeff's prior positions also saw him spend nine years with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts where he began his career at The Regent Beverly Wilshire.
Jeff relocates to Grenada with his wife, Kim, and pet cat, Mabel. Their 18-year-old son Gabriel is following in his father's footsteps, studying hospitality at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The Caribbean is a soft spot for the David family who lived and worked on various Caribbean islands.Jeff has a passion for mentoring and giving back to the community through his work with religiousorganizations and local Government, starting 20 years ago as a charter member of the Four Seasons Diversity Task Force. Jeff has demonstrated his commitment to Six Senses values having worked with various charitable organizations aiming to create a brighter future for the surrounding communities at the local level.Jeff will lead a team of over 150 hosts at Six Senses La Sagesse, 44% of which come from the Parish of St. David. Jeff will bring the Six Senses brand values to life by working directly with the wider Grenadian community and continuing to employ and purchase locally and support positive-impact projects through our Sustainability Fund.
