Jurgen Ammerstorfer has been appointed as General Manager at Anantara Palais Hansen Vienna Hotel

Anantara Palais Hansen Vienna Hotel, an architectural gem on Ringstrasse, has announced the appointment of luxury hotelier Jurgen Ammerstorfer as General Manager, effective 7th January 2025. In his new role, Ammerstorfer will oversee the completion of the property's extensive renovations, which will introduce a full suite of Anantara experiences, with a focus on elevating the restaurant and bar offerings and introducing Anantara Spa.

The Austrian native, joins Anantara Palais Hansen from The Ritz Carlton, Vienna, where he served as General Manager from 2020 to 2024.

With over 30 years of experience in the travel and hospitality industry, Ammerstorfer boasts an accomplished track record of destination marketing and hotel management across various disciplines, including food and beverage, rooms, sales and marketing, and revenue management.

Over the years, he has worked for leading international luxury hospitality companies in Europe, the US, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, in both resort settings and urban environments. His experience with Leading Hotels of the World, IHG, Park Plaza, Preferred Hotels, Hilton, Celebrity Cruises, Shangri-La and Marriott Luxury Brands, including managing The London Edition, has developed his core strengths as an entrepreneur and leader.

Ammerstorfer is a graduate of the "Modul" Hotel Management School in Vienna and holds an MBA from Robert Kennedy College in Zurich, Switzerland.
