Matthew Slippoy has been appointed as Managing Director at The Asbury Collection

The Asbury Collection is delighted to announce the appointment of Matthew Slippoy as Managing Director, overseeing the dynamic portfolio of three properties in Asbury Park, NJ. In this role, Slippoy will lead The Asbury Hotel, a vibrant hotel renowned for its eclectic design and ties to the local community; Asbury Lanes, a reimagined music venue that blends live performances with retro bowling; and Asbury Ocean Club, a sophisticated beachfront retreat celebrated for its contemporary design and distinction as the only AMEX Fine Hotels & Resorts property in New Jersey, recently recognized with a MICHELIN Key by the 2024 MICHELIN Guide.

Slippoy brings over 23 years of leadership experience in luxury, lifestyle, and boutique hotels, including eight successful pre-openings, and has been honored as "Manager of the Year" for consistently exceeding performance expectations. With a strong background in managing all facets of hotel operations—from food and beverage to marketing, revenue management, and employee engagement—Slippoy's appointment is set to enhance The Asbury Collection's reputation as a hub for creative energy, exceptional service, and cultural connections.

Slippoy's career includes leadership roles at iconic properties such as Tempo by Hilton in Times Square and Thompson Hotel Central Park, where he spearheaded high-profile pre-openings and rebranding initiatives. Known for his ability to align operational efficiency with thoughtful design and guest-centric service, he has consistently achieved impressive results, including maintaining ADRs above $400 and leading marketing strategies that generated over $98 million in revenue.
