Jean-Marc Boutilly has been appointed as General Manager at Kempinski Hotel & Resort Sariya Yanbu

Kempinski Hotel & Resort Sariya Yanbu has appointed Jean-Marc Boutilly as its new general manager. The resort is Kempinski's second property in Saudi Arabia and the first five-star luxury resort in Yanbu.

Jean-Marc Boutilly

Boutilly brings over three decades of international experience in hospitality, including 20 years in general manager positions across Switzerland. Before joining Kempinski, he was the group managing director at Villars Alpine Resort, where he led its repositioning into one of Switzerland's recognised alpine destinations.

Boutilly's career has been defined by hotel openings, repositionings and turnarounds. Notable achievements include launching the Chandolin Boutique Hotel, which was named the 'Best Mountain Hotel in Europe 2019', repositioning Hotel Le Mirador among Switzerland's top 50 urban hotels, reopening Hotel Crans Ambassador and leading the revitalisation of Hotel des Trois Couronnes.

Boutilly began his career in culinary and service roles as sous-chef and maître d'hôtel, giving him comprehensive insight into the guest experience, particularly in food and beverage - a key focus area for Kempinski. In his new role, Boutilly aims to strengthen Yanbu's position as a destination on the Red Sea.
