Chris Jennings has been appointed as General Manager at Albert Hotel
Albert Hotel, a thoughtfully designed independent property set in Fredericksburg’s classic Hill Country, announced today the appointment of Chris Jennings to general manager. Opening its doors last January and developed by Austin-based hospitality company New Waterloo, Albert Hotel pays homage to influential figure Albert Keidel, blending historic character with modern comforts.
A seasoned veteran in the hospitality industry, Chris brings an extensive luxury background spanning premier destinations and iconic brands across the country. His career includes leadership roles at The Don CeSar in St. Pete Beach, The St. Regis Princeville in Hawaii, two tenures at The Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale, and the opening of the Baha Mar Casino and Hotel in the Bahamas. While at The Phoenician, Chris led teams that achieved and sustained the prestigious AAA Five-Diamond and Forbes Five-Star distinctions, underscoring his commitment to service excellence.
Chris joined Turnberry in 2018 as part of the opening leadership team for the JW Marriott Nashville, bringing with him valuable experience launching premier hospitality destinations, including the Westin Phoenix Downtown. Across three hotel openings, Chris has built a reputation for guiding complex operations from pre-opening through stabilization, while cultivating high-performing teams and exceptional guest experiences. In Nashville, he led a division of more than 200 associates spanning Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, and Spa operations, while also lending strategic support to Food & Beverage. His leadership contributed to the hotel earning Marriott’s Hotel Opening of the Year in 2018 and Luxury Hotel of the Year in 2019, along with consistently strong guest satisfaction rankings among JW Marriott properties in North America.
Chris looks forward to bringing his passion for exceptional guest experiences and team leadership to Albert Hotel. He will be joined in Fredericksburg by his wife, Mallory, and their children, Blaine and Sloane.
