As development advances along La Sagesse Bay, George Vlachopoulos has been appointed General Manager of InterContinental La Sagesse, where he is guiding the strategic and operational preparation ahead of its planned fall 2026 opening.
At InterContinental La Sagesse, Vlachopoulos is focused on pre-opening execution, including senior leadership recruitment, operational planning, and implementation of brand standards ahead of launch, working closely with IHG and ownership to position the resort for a strong market entry.
Vlachopoulos also currently oversees Six Senses La Sagesse, in addition to InterContinental La Sagesse, overseeing performance and direction across the destination’s two distinct IHG properties. As General Manager at Six Senses, he manages all aspects of operations, guiding a team of 150 hosts and overseeing dining, wellness, and guest programming.
A Swiss-educated hotelier with more than two decades of global experience, he previously led Park Hyatt St. Kitts and held senior leadership roles with Auberge Resorts Collection and Malliouhana Resort & Spa in Anguilla, where he directed a $35 million repositioning that delivered a 28 percent year-over-year GOP increase. His career spans the Caribbean, Europe, and Southeast Asia.
Set to open in fall 2026, the beachfront resort will offer 120 guest rooms and suites, a collection of restaurants and bars, a spa and wellness facility, a fitness center, a pool and Beach Club, as well as indoor and outdoor meeting and event spaces with views over La Sagesse Bay.
