Anthony Beckerley has been appointed as General Manager at The Oasis at Death Valley

Xanterra Travel Collection® has appointed Anthony “Tony” Beckerley as General Manager of The Oasis at Death Valley, the company’s iconic desert resort located within Death Valley National Park. Beckerley is known for his focus on operational excellence, team development and strong partnerships with corporate, community and labor stakeholders, all strengths that will support continued growth at the property amidst the largest National Park in the continental United States.

  Beckerley boasts an extensive background in hospitality leadership and large-scale resort operations. He most recently served as Managing Director for the Cotton Collection, where he oversaw a portfolio of historic hotel and restaurant properties in northern Michigan. In that role, he led brand development initiatives, recruited key talent, and built a new senior leadership team.  

Beckerley is no stranger to national parks. Before joining Cotton Collection, he spent nearly a decade serving in senior leadership roles, including District Manager and General Manager at major national park destinations such as Bryce Canyon National Park, Yosemite National Park, Denali National Park and Preserve and Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve. 

During his tenure with Aramark, Beckerley oversaw a $60 million multi-state portfolio with full profit-and-loss responsibility, leading operations that achieved record occupancy of 98.7%. His industry achievements have earned several honors, including the Golden Pineapple Award of Excellence from Witham Family Hotels and both the Excellence Award and Special Projects Award from Aramark.
