InterContinental Washington D.C. The Wharf, a leading luxury waterfront hotel in the nation’s capital, announces the appointment of Joseph Palminteri as Director of Food and Beverage. With more than two decades of experience across luxury hospitality properties, Palminteri brings extensive leadership expertise in food and beverage operations and guest experience management to the property’s dining venues, including signature restaurant Willowsong.
Most recently, Palminteri served as Corporate Director of Food & Beverage for EOS Hospitality, where he oversaw concept development, financial strategy and operational execution across a diverse portfolio generating more than $140 million in annual revenue. Throughout his career, Palminteri has led multimillion-dollar renovations, brand launches, and the repositioning of evolving outlets into high-performing dining destinations. His experience includes the revitalization of the dining program at L’Ermitage in Beverly Hills, California, the expansion of Via Sophia in Washington, D.C., and the development of Black Drum Brewing in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Across each role, Palminteri has helped shape distinct dining concepts while cultivating high-performing teams and a strong culture of hospitality.
In his role at InterContinental Washington D.C. The Wharf, Palminteri will oversee all aspects of the hotel’s culinary and beverage operations, across both the property’s outlets and its banquets and catering operations. Working in close partnership with Executive Chef Jeffrey Williams and the hotel’s leadership team, Palminteri will help guide the continued evolution of InterContinental Washington D.C. The Wharf’s food and beverage program, including Willowsong’s seasonal culinary initiatives and the forthcoming introduction of a private chef’s tasting experience.

The Wharf features a diverse collection of dining experiences throughout the property, including signature restaurant Willowsong, outdoor bar The Watering Hole, and WAVES rooftop bar and pool.
