Avion Hospitality announces the appointment of Patrick Dempsey as Director of Food & Beverage at The Lowline Hotel, a signature lifestyle property set to open in July 2026 on Charleston's vibrant King Street corridor.
As Director of Food & Beverage, Dempsey will lead the development and execution of the property's culinary and beverage programming, shaping a dynamic and distinctive dining experience for guests and locals alike. He joins The Lowline Hotel with extensive experience leading award-winning restaurants, bars, banquets, and culinary operations across luxury, lifestyle, and branded hospitality environments. Most recently, he served as Director of Food, Beverage, and Culinary for the Grand Bohemian Charleston, where he oversaw multiple dining concepts, successfully repositioned outlets, improved guest satisfaction scores, and led innovative programming initiatives. Dempsey is known for his collaborative leadership style, commitment to training and development, and ability to inspire teams to consistently exceed expectations.
The Lowline Hotel marks the full renovation and reimagining of the former Hyatt Place Charleston Historic District by Highline Hospitality. It will be among the first properties in the southeastern United States to join JdV by Hyatt, an independent lifestyle collection within Hyatt. Featuring 197 thoughtfully designed guest rooms and suites, the hotel will offer a range of amenities including a signature indoor/outdoor bar and restaurant, a private dining room, a spirited coffee shop, an indoor swimming pool, and nearly 8,000 square feet of flexible event space.
