Mehdi Belkodi has been appointed as Executive Sous Chef at Embassy Suites by Hilton Deerfield Beach Resort & Spa
Embassy Suites by Hilton Deerfield Beach Resort & Spa today announced the appointment of Chef Mehdi Belkodi as executive sous chef. Bringing extensive international culinary experience across luxury hospitality, upscale restaurants and high-volume operations in Europe, North Africa and the United States, Belkodi will oversee culinary strategy and execution for the oceanfront resort’s food and beverage operations, including its signature dining destination, Beach Terrace Restaurant, and banquet programming. He will lead all culinary operations, with responsibilities spanning concept development, menu engineering, cost management, food safety oversight and team mentorship, while fostering a disciplined, collaborative kitchen culture focused on excellence.
Over the course of his career, Belkodi has led high-volume festivals, managed large culinary teams and served as a culinary consultant for hotel openings throughout Northern Europe and North Africa, developing restaurant concepts, implementing kitchen systems, training culinary professionals and guiding successful operational launches. His experience includes six years with Meliá Hotels International, four years with the Novikov Group and three years at Walt Disney World Resort, giving him a diverse perspective across global hospitality environments.
A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, Belkodi also holds an associate degree in business administration, combining classical culinary training with expertise in operational strategy, financial management and team leadership.
