Bruce Johnson has been appointed as General Manager at The Abbey Resort & Avani Spa
The Abbey Resort, the only full-service resort on the shores of Lake Geneva, announces the appointment of Bruce Johnson as General Manager. In this role, Johnson oversees all resort operations, including guest services, food and beverage, sales and marketing, housekeeping, engineering and team development, while leading the continued evolution of one of the Midwest's premier lakeside destinations.
Johnson brings more than three decades of hospitality leadership experience across full-service resorts, hotels and food and beverage operations. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for driving operational excellence, improving financial performance, enhancing the guest experience and developing high-performing teams.
Most recently, Johnson served as Director of Dining Services and General Manager for Sodexo in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, where he led dining operations serving more than 500 residents daily and increased resident satisfaction by 30 percent. Previously, he held senior leadership positions with Great Wolf Lodge, Chula Vista Resort & Spa, and Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark at Marcus Hotels & Resorts in Lake Geneva, where he oversaw resort operations and drove significant growth in profitability. His career also includes leadership roles with Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant, Buca, Inc. and Renaissance Hotels International.
