Christian Wildhaber has been appointed as General Manager at Mandarin Oriental, Geneva

Mandarin Oriental, Geneva is pleased to announce the appointment of Christian Wildhaber as General Manager, effective September 1, 2026.

With nearly three decades of experience in luxury hospitality, Christian Wildhaber joins Geneva after leading Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta since August 2025.

A native of Vevey and fully trilingual, speaking fluent French, English and German, he brings to the Geneva property extensive international expertise and a deep understanding of the expectations of a cosmopolitan and multicultural clientele. This knowledge has been acquired throughout a distinguished career that has taken him across Europe, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region.

Throughout his career, Christian Wildhaber has held a number of positions in the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Sydney and Guangzhou, where he developed recognized expertise in hotel operations, as well as in the opening, repositioning and transformation of prestigious properties. Prior to joining Jakarta, Christian Wildhaber served as General Manager of Mandarin Oriental Palace, Luzern, where he successfully led the property's transformation, opening and launch, contributing to its establishment as one of Switzerland's leading luxury hotels.
