Stefano Capaccetti has been appointed as General Manager at Rixos Phu Quoc Island
Rixos Phu Quoc Vietnam has appointed Stefano Capaccetti as General Manager as the resort enters its pre-opening phase on Hon Thom Island.
Capaccetti brings 15 years of experience with Rixos Hotels, with a career spanning hotel openings, resort operations and leadership roles across international markets. He joins Rixos Phu Quoc in August 2026 and will oversee the development of the resort’s operations, team and guest experience ahead of its opening.
Most recently, Capaccetti served as General Manager of Rixos Qetaifan North in Doha, where he led the property through its opening ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Prior to that, he was Special Project Manager in the Rixos Group President’s Office in Dubai.
His earlier roles with Rixos include General Manager of Rixos Premium Dubai Jumeirah Beach Residence, leadership responsibilities at The Land of Legends Theme Park in Antalya, and cluster management positions overseeing Rixos President Astana and Rixos Borovoe in Kazakhstan.
Before joining Rixos, Capaccetti held operational roles with Rezidor, including at Radisson Blu Resort & Spa Dubrovnik Sun Gardens. He later served as Director of Operations at Hilton Glasgow and Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik, where he was involved in the hotel’s opening. Earlier in his career, he was Food & Beverage Manager during the opening of Hilton Rome Airport.
Rixos Phu Quoc Vietnam will mark the brand’s debut in Southeast Asia. The resort is planned to feature 1,500 rooms and 24 restaurants and bars. Capaccetti’s appointment comes as the property advances toward opening and Rixos continues to expand its presence across the region.
