John Murphy has been appointed as Director of Finance at Hyatt Regency Boston / Cambridge
John brings more than 40 years of hotel finance experience, including more than three decades with Hilton and over 17 years as Director of Finance at Hilton Boston Logan Airport. He started in the hotel industry working as a night auditor as a senior in college and has worked his way up to senior financial leadership, having earned multiple internal audit and financial leadership awards along the way.
Most recently, he was Controller at Ocean Edge Resort in Brewster on Cape Cod, and has also served as a task force Director of Finance and Boston-area finance cluster lead. In addition to developing efficient systems and processes around the hotel’s new financial platform, one of Murphy’s primary focuses is mentoring his team to help position them for long-term career growth.
