Teryn Flood has been appointed as General Manager at Hotel Teatro
Hotel Teatro, a historic boutique hotel managed by Sage Hospitality Group in the heart of downtown Denver, has announced the appointment of Teryn Flood as General Manager. In his new role, Flood will oversee hotel operations, guest experience and team culture, while continuing to evolve the property’s food and beverage offerings, including its on-site restaurant, The Nickel.
Flood brings 25 years of hospitality leadership experience to his new role, including four years as a General Manager and an extensive background with 4 Diamond properties. Throughout his career, he has led hotel operations, developed high-performing teams and delivered improvements across guest experience, profitability, quality assurance and associate engagement. His leadership philosophy centers on empowerment and collaboration, with a focus on bringing teams together around a shared vision and creating a strong culture of accountability and service.
Most recently, Flood served as General Manager of Sheraton Denver West, where he led a team of 75 associates and 10 department heads and managers. During his tenure, he increased top-line revenue by 11% year-over-year and grew food and beverage revenue by 32% year-over-year, while improving guest satisfaction by 18%. He also led the relaunch of several hotel programs, including restaurant lunch service and in-room dining, and oversaw renovation efforts spanning design, planning, phasing and construction.
Prior to joining Sheraton Denver West, Flood served as General Manager and Assistant General Manager of Origin Hotel Red Rocks and Nomad Taqueria + Beer Garden in Golden, where he helped guide the property through its post-pandemic recovery. His career also includes two decades with Marriott International, where he held leadership positions at The Westin Denver International Airport, The Westin Denver Downtown and The Westin Galleria and Westin Oaks at The Galleria in Houston.
A Denver resident since 2017, Flood moved to Colorado from Houston and began his hospitality career downtown. Returning to the area represents a homecoming of sorts, giving him the opportunity to reconnect with the city’s close-knit hospitality community while leading a property with deep ties to the local history and arts scene.
At Hotel Teatro, Flood will prioritize food and beverage and team culture, with a particular focus on creating memorable, personalized guest experiences. He sees an opportunity to build on the hotel’s distinctive spaces through intentional programming, thoughtful menu development and service excellence, while honoring Hotel Teatro’s legacy as Denver’s original boutique hotel.
Outside of work, Flood and his partner enjoy spending time with their dog and exploring Colorado through skiing, hiking and camping, often ending the day by discovering a local brewery.
