Kory Foltz has been appointed as Director of Food and Beverage at Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa
Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa, an award-winning resort in Bonita Springs near the city of Naples, FL, announces Kory Foltz as Director of Food and Beverage. In his role, Foltz will oversee the resort’s restaurants, food and beverage operations for events, manage financial performance, and lead the team responsible for dining experiences throughout the property.
A hospitality veteran with more than 30 years of experience, Foltz began his career as a dishwasher at an independently owned restaurant before moving into the kitchen. Food had always been central to his family life. His parents took great care preparing meals, and family gatherings naturally gravitated to the kitchen. Once he began working in restaurants, he was drawn to the creative energy and fast paced environment, the close-knit teams, and the satisfaction of creating unforgettable dining experiences.
A Florida native, Foltz began his career working in Tampa-area restaurants before attending the Florida Culinary Institute in West Palm Beach. While continuing to work in restaurants, he earned degrees in culinary arts, international baking and pastry, and restaurant management.
Foltz began his Hyatt career working at Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay as Chef de Cuisine and was quickly promoted to Executive Sous Chef where he oversaw multiple restaurant outlets while also supporting other properties through task force assignments. He then served as Executive Chef at Hyatt Regency Sarasota and Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa. He then joined the opening team at Sunseeker Resort in Port Charlotte as Resort Executive Chef, helping launch seven restaurants, 60,000 square feet of event space, and a food hall featuring 11 concepts. Foltz later became the resort’s Director of Food and Beverage, a role that deepened his passion for leading teams and overseeing the broader guest experience.
Outside of work, Foltz enjoys spending time with his wife and children, whom he credits as hisgreat source of support and encouragement.
