David Dong has been appointed as General Manager at Enchantment Resort
Enchantment, a luxury destination nestled within Sedona’s iconic Boynton Canyon, is pleased to announce the appointment of David Dong as General Manager.
With an international hospitality career spanning Europe and North America, Dong brings extensive experience across some of the world’s most distinguished luxury hotels and resorts. His background encompasses luxury food and beverage operations, strategic leadership and comprehensive resort management, with previous roles at renowned properties including The Savoy in London, Rosewood Hotel Georgia in Vancouver, Fairmont Chateau Whistler and Wedgewood Hotel & Spa, a Relais & Châteaux property.
Born in South Korea and raised in Toronto, Canada, Dong earned a bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Tourism Management from IMI International Management Institute Switzerland before beginning his career in London. There, he developed his expertise in luxury food and beverage operations, working alongside internationally acclaimed chefs and cultivating a strong foundation in culinary excellence and personalized service. He later returned to Canada, where he held leadership positions at Shangri-La Toronto, JW Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka Resort & Spa and The Westin Harbour Castle Toronto before continuing his career in Western Canada.
Building on his food and beverage expertise, Dong transitioned into broader resort operations, serving as Director of Operations at Sparkling Hill Resort in Kelowna, British Columbia, where he oversaw 11 departments. Most recently, he held the same role at La Estancia, an ultra-luxury private resort in West Texas, overseeing a diverse portfolio of hospitality and lifestyle offerings spanning dining, spa and fitness, membership operations, casita accommodations and an upcoming golf course.
In his new role, Dong will oversee all aspects of Enchantment’s operations, working closely with the resort’s leadership team to support operational excellence, team development and exceptional guest experiences. Drawing on his international background and comprehensive understanding of luxury resort management, he will help further strengthen Enchantment’s position as a premier destination for luxury travel, wellness and immersive experiences in the heart of Sedona’s iconic red rocks.
