CLEVELAND | Agilysys, Inc. (Nasdaq: AGYS), a leading provider of innovative information technology and hospitality software solutions, announced today that the Clevelander Hotel and the Essex House, both located in the South Beach neighborhood of Miami Beach, Fla., have selected property management and point-of-sale solutions by Agilysys. The hotels, which are owned and managed by BRIO Investment Group, will use the Visual One Property Management System by Agilysys and InfoGenesis™ POS by Agilysys and to increase efficiency and streamline operations.

"We wanted a single vendor that could provide a consolidated support structure in addition to the usual industry-specific application modules," said Carole Caffey, corporate IT director for BRIO Investment Group. "The Agilysys solutions for property management and point-of-sale are completely integrated and offer all the features and functionality we need. These solutions will enable us to maximize productivity and deliver the high level of service that guests have come to expect from our hotels."

The Visual One Property Management System is a comprehensive property management solution that offers a wide range of features and functionality, including front office operations, guest history, housekeeping, reservations management and more. Its user-friendly screens are laid out in a logical, easy-to-train format with quick-feature icons and drag-and-drop capabilities. Extensive rate inventory and yield management maximize revenue by allowing hotels to sell room nights based on occupancy levels and other criteria. The solution, which runs on a Microsoft SQL Server database, has modules for club management, comp accounting, condo accounting, guest marketing, sales & catering and spa management.

InfoGenesis POS is an enterprise-ready point-of-sale solution that combines powerful reporting and configuration capabilities with an easy-to-use touch-screen terminal application. Features include real-time reporting, organizational controls, and advanced sorting, filtering and grouping options. The Clevelander Hotel and the Essex House will use InfoGenesis POS to manage restaurant, bar and room service operations.

"Miami Beach is a highly competitive market, and hotels that want to gain a competitive advantage need technology that enables them to operate more efficiently," said Tina Stehle, senior vice president and general manager of Agilysys Hospitality Solutions Group. "The combination of our property management and point-of-sale solutions will give the Clevelander Hotel and the Essex House the same technical and reporting capabilities the mega-resorts enjoy, but in a way that works for smaller boutique hotels. These solutions will not only streamline efficiency, but also will enable each property to boost productivity and enhance guest service."

Located on Ocean Drive in Miami Beach's historic Art Deco district, The Clevelander has been a South Beach landmark and a hot spot for locals, pro athletes, models, Hollywood glitterati and tourists from around the world for more than 70 years. Originally constructed in 1938, the property has maintained its reputation as the central point of South Beach since its opening. The Clevelander recently unveiled a multi-million dollar renovation to revamp its 60 rooms and suites and introduce new amenities, including two rooftop decks, a full sports bar and nightclub. The Essex House, which recently received a soft renovation, features 74 rooms and suites with amenities including a pool, bar and plush lounge areas on the front veranda and back courtyard. The properties are owned and managed by BRIO Investment Group (BIG Destinations) in San Diego.
