Cushman & Wakefield's EMEA Hospitality team continues its strategic expansion across Europe by entering the Spanish market with the recruitment of the entire senior team of Magma Hospitality Consulting, a leading independent advisor to the hotel sector in Spain.

Magma Hospitality Consulting founding partners Albert Grau and Bruno Hallé join as Co-Heads of Cushman & Wakefield Hospitality Spain, with two Senior Consultants, Marga Claret and Ana Rojas, also joining the global real estate services firm.

Grau and Hallé set up Magma Hospitality Consulting in 2004, building a highly-successful business focused on hospitality real estate advisory, development and operational advisory. They will build a full service offering at Cushman & Wakefield, which will include capital markets, advisory, development and operator selection, alongside operational hotel advisory and asset management.

Jonathan Hubbard, Head of EMEA Hospitality, Cushman & Wakefield, said: "The Spanish hotel market has been one of the most dynamic in Europe over recent years and we are seeing continued strong investor and operator demand. I am delighted that we have been able to bring on board such an established and experienced team to help drive our growth in this specialist market and, along with our existing hospitality team in Portugal, greatly add to the service we can provide our clients in Spain, Andorra and Portugal."

Bruno Hallé, Co-Head of Hospitality Spain at Cushman & Wakefield, said: "We are really excited to be joining Cushman & Wakefield's Hospitality team as it strengthens its reach across Europe. The region continues to offer significant opportunities for the growth and development in the hospitality sector and our local expertise, combined with Cushman & Wakefield's specialist national teams, means that we are well placed to capitalise on these exciting opportunities."

Oriol Barrachina, Head of Spain, Cushman & Wakefield, said: "Cushman & Wakefield has enjoyed spectacular growth in Spain over the last five years and recruiting the leading independent hospitality team continues this momentum. We are proud to be expanding our range of services to meet client demand."

The recruitment of the experienced Spanish hospitality team follows on from last month's appointment of Katell Bourgeois, to head Cushman & Wakefield's Hospitality team in France. The expansion in Spain and France is the latest step since Hubbard joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2017 as Head of EMEA Hospitality with a remit to significantly grow its EMEA Hospitality practice. Since then Cushman & Wakefield made several senior hires to expand the firm's hospitality capabilities, including four new Partners in London, Frankfurt and Prague.
