Co-located with HITEC Minneapolis, this HFTP Foundation luncheon will serve to celebrate trailblazing women in the industry while also supporting its future leaders, with proceeds contributing to HFTP's General Scholarship Fund. The technology leaders will discuss several career strategies such as mentoring, building a support network and the value of diversity in technology professionals. Donna Hale, owner of FEH Consulting LLC will moderate a panel with Kristin Gassick of Enchantment Group, Monika Nerger of Mandarin Oriental, and Kris Singleton of International Cruise and Excursions Inc.
Melinda Gates talked about the value of choosing a single word to bring guidance instead of New Year's resolutions. In 2019, her word was "shine". "It's not about me, it's about believing that every person has a light inside them. Every single person. If we can turn those lights on—on behalf of women, on behalf of those who don't have as mu ch as we do, on behalf of minorities in our own country—and stand up for what's right, we will break through. We'll all shine. The world will shine."
