MMI Hotel Group Selected to Manage New Holiday Inn on the Mississippi Gulf Coast
Mississippi-based MMI Hotel Group will manage the 113-room property opening in 2027, marking their return to the Holiday Inn brand after 70 years.

MMI Hotel Group, a Mississippi-based, third-party hospitality management partner with a 70-year legacy of operating independent and branded properties across the Southeast, has been selected to manage a new full-service Holiday Inn currently under construction in Gulfport, Mississippi. Slated to open in 2027, the hotel will be operated by MMI Hotel Group, whose longstanding presence in the Gulf Coast region and history with the Holiday Inn brand aligned naturally with the vision of the Mississippi-based ownership and development team.
After meeting with the stakeholders behind this project, it was clear that MMI would be a strong fit. Every major partner involved in this development has deep roots in Mississippi and a strong understanding of the Gulf Coast market, which creates a level of regional alignment that is invaluable on a project of this scale. As MMI celebrates its 70th anniversary this year, this project also marks a meaningful return to the Holiday Inn brand, the same flag that helped launch our company in 1956

Located on Beach Drive, directly across from the Gulf Coast shoreline, the five-story hotel will feature 113 guest rooms and suites, many offering sweeping views of the Gulf. The approximately 70,000-square-foot property will include a full-service restaurant and bar, flexible meeting space, a fitness center, and a resort-style pool deck complete with cabanas and fire pits overlooking the Gulf Coast.
The hotel is owned by Coast Host, LLC, a partnership between J. Salloum Properties, Inc., R. Salloum Investments, Inc., Anderson Properties, LLC, Sandeep Sethi, and JJS Investments, LLC. Bellamare Development is a co-developer with Andercorp as general contractor and Wier Boerner Allin Architects as architect of record. Notably, each of these entities are rooted in Mississippi.
As Gulfport is our hometown, this project is especially meaningful to us. We’re from here and live here, so it was important to create something the community can be proud of. MMI Hotel Group will oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including pre-opening planning, food and beverage concept development, staffing, training, sales and marketing strategy, and ongoing operational management upon opening.
