HITEC comes on the heels of Resorts World Las Vegas expanding its digital wallet guest experience to support hotel key in Google Wallet, powered by dormakaba, Alliants, and LEGIC. The launch marks the first implementation of hotel key in Google Wallet on the Las Vegas Strip, enabling guests to securely access their hotel room and resort amenities using the devices they already carry. Behind the scenes, LEGIC’s neon technology provides the secure mobile credential foundation for the Google Wallet experience at the resort, enabling seamless provisioning and secure lifecycle management of digital room keys without adding complexity to the guest experience.
Resorts World Las Vegas has continued to expand its digital access strategy, including its earlier launch of room key in Apple Wallet. Guest adoption continues to grow across the resort’s digital wallet offerings, with nearly 30% of guests arriving at Resorts World last month using digital keys and 80% of guests who completed check-in adding a digital key at that time. This transition not only reflects the increasing demand for seamless, contactless interactions but also offers sustainability benefits by reducing reliance on traditional paper and plastic.
