Shiji, the global hospitality technology company, today announced that Grupo Baleine has selected Daylight PMS, beginning with the successful go-live at Roma Nueve Dos Hotel Boutique in Mexico City on July 21, 2026. The implementation gives the growing boutique hotel group a more connected and scalable technology foundation for managing reservations, rooms and guest profiles while supporting its ambition to combine luxury hospitality, personalized service and technology as it grows.

Grupo Baleine currently has nine properties, with Roma Nueve Dos marking the group’s first hotel in Mexico City. The 11-room boutique property is positioned for the luxury market and reflects the group’s focus on highly personalized hospitality. As Grupo Baleine evaluated technology to support both the property and its broader growth plans, it sought to move beyond the limitations of its existing PMS, which was primarily focused on core reservation, check-in and check-out processes. Daylight PMS provides the group with the ability to manage rooms and reservations alongside guest, company and travel agency profiles, helping build guest histories that can support a more personalized approach to service across its brands.

Grupo Baleine represents the new generation of luxury hospitality groups that understand technology should enable great service, not get in the way of it. With Daylight PMS, the team is creating a scalable technology foundation centered around the guest, giving its properties the tools to better understand their guests, connect operations and deliver the personalized experiences that define exceptional boutique hospitality. We’re excited to support Grupo Baleine as it continues to grow.

Daylight PMS also supports Grupo Baleine’s goal of creating a standardized configuration that can be used at Roma Nueve Dos and future properties. Connectivity between hotel systems, access to operational information, pre-arrival capabilities and digital check-in were among the important considerations in the group’s technology strategy. Standardizing its technology environment will also help Grupo Baleine establish repeatable processes as it expands its portfolio.

We are a young company with a young, proactive team that is constantly looking to innovate. Our vision is to become the best boutique hotel group in Mexico and, over time, expand into the United States and other Latin American countries. Technology is an important part of that vision because it allows us to build better processes, scale the business and give better service to both our guests and our teams.

Daniel Espinosa, Co-CEO at Grupo Baleine

The implementation at Roma Nueve Dos was successfully completed through close collaboration between Grupo Baleine and Shiji’s implementation and integration teams. Property staff were highly engaged throughout the process, learning how Daylight PMS could support their daily activities and help create more efficient workflows. The platform also provides a foundation for more automated reporting and easier access to operational information across hotel teams.

For Grupo Baleine, the longer-term objective is to use technology to support employees in delivering the attentive and personal service expected in luxury hospitality. With guest profiles and operational information at the center of the platform, Daylight PMS gives the group a foundation for recognizing guest preferences and building more consistent experiences as its portfolio grows.
