Leonardo acquires The Bristol Hotel in the UK from The Doyle Collection
Leonardo Hotels, the European division of the Israeli owner-operator Fattal Hotel Group, has acquired the four-star, 187-room Bristol Hotel in the south-west of England, from Irish owner-operator The Doyle Collection. Situated in the centre of Bristol, a city of some 500,000 people, on the quayside of the Floating Harbour, the hotel includes two restaurants, a bar and nine meeting rooms. Following the acquisition, the property will be rebranded as Leonardo Royal Hotel Bristol and will undergo a phased £11.5 million (£61,500 per room) refurbishment of its guest rooms and public spaces. The deal is the first under Fattal’s third partnership with institutional investors in the last four years, which have raised over €850 million of equity for acquisitions.
FLE acquires Holiday Inn Zurich Messe from Intreal
FLE GmbH, the Vienna-based real estate arm of French investment group LFPI, has acquired the 164-room Holiday Inn Zurich Messe in Switzerland from German fund administrator Intreal, acting on behalf of a real estate special fund. The property, which includes a restaurant, bar and seven meeting rooms, is situated opposite Messe Zürich exhibition centre, halfway between Zurich Airport and Zurich city centre. The hotel is let on a long-term lease and will continue to operate under IHG’s Holiday Inn brand.
MCR acquires London Kensington Holland Park hostel from Safestay

The hostel sits in part of the Grade-1 listed Holland House inside Holland Park in Kensington, West London, within a 10-minute walk from both the High Street Kensington and Holland Park tube stations. Following the acquisition, MCR plans a multi-million-pound refurbishment and will use the property to launch a new, yet-to-be-named hostel brand, with further hostel deals reportedly in the pipeline.
