PORDENONE, ITALY & SAN DIEGO, CA — November 3, 2026 — VDA Telkonet, part of GEWISS Group and a provider of intelligent guestroom and energy management systems, and Cloudbeds, the hospitality management system built for ambitious hoteliers who demand more, today announced a strategic partnership to connect smart room automation with the Cloudbeds platform. The integration is designed to help hotels coordinate front-desk activity with in-room controls, bringing guest comfort and energy management into closer alignment with daily operations.

For hotel teams, a check-in or room assignment is more than a change in a reservation record: it informs how a room should be prepared for its guest. By connecting these events in Cloudbeds PMS with VDA Telkonet’s guestroom systems, the integration is designed to trigger room settings automatically, reducing manual coordination between reception and in-room technology.

Key benefits for mutual customers:

  • Room readiness at check-in: Use check-in and room assignment data to trigger welcome scenes, temperature settings and access management.

  • Connected front-desk operations: Link door access, encoder hardware and room status updates with Cloudbeds PMS to reduce repetitive steps for employees.

  • Responsive energy management: Adjust room climate controls based on occupancy status to help hotels manage energy consumption alongside guest comfort.

“Hoteliers should be able to choose the technology that fits their property and have it work together in daily operations,” said Sebastien Leitner, Vice President of Partnerships at Cloudbeds. “Connecting VDA Telkonet with Cloudbeds brings that principle into the guestroom, helping teams coordinate room settings with check-in activity and spend less time managing the steps in between.”

"Integration has always been part of VDA Telkonet's DNA. With almost 50 years of experience and its recent integration into GEWISS Group, VDA Telkonet further strengthens its position within a synergistic and fully integrated technological ecosystem. With more than one million smart rooms installed worldwide, we've built our expertise on making different technologies work seamlessly together. Our partnership with Cloudbeds reinforces this approach, connecting guestroom intelligence with hotel operations to create simpler, more efficient and more intuitive hospitality experiences, said Ferose Ahamed, Global Solution Proposition Manager of VDA Telkonet.

The integration is undergoing final technical certification, with commercial availability planned for the first quarter of 2027. Hoteliers interested in early access or technical requirements can contact their regional VDA Telkonet representative.
