Chris Melder has been appointed as Executive Chef at Hilton Shreveport
Hilton Shreveport is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Melder as the new executive chef, bringing more than 25 years of culinary experience from kitchens across the South.
Known for his deep Louisiana roots and passion for Southern cuisine, Melder blends classic Creole and Cajun techniques with modern sensibilities while staying true to the bold, comforting flavors of the region. Melder joins the Hilton Shreveport team from The Library on Fern and Chianti in Shreveport, where he served as executive chef. Prior to that, Melder honed his craft blending Creole and Cajun techniques with modern sensibilities during his time spent working under renowned chefs throughout Louisiana, from Shreveport to New Orleans.
In his new role, Melder looks forward to elevating Hilton Shreveport’s dining experience with regionally inspired menus that celebrate Louisiana’s culinary heritage.
