The Confidence Advantage: When People Perform, Guests Feel It
Think about the best team you've ever worked with. What made them different?
Was it the leader? The culture? The trust between people? Knowing that someone had your back? Or simply having the confidence to step up and make a decision when it mattered?
In hospitality, we talk a lot about performance, standards, KPIs and guest experience. But behind all of that are people — and you can usually feel when a team is confident, connected and genuinely working together.
So, from what you've seen in your own experience, what do operators do that really helps people perform at their best and feel confident in their team? And what are the small things leaders sometimes get wrong that can quietly erode that confidence?
I'd love to hear the real experiences — the things that worked, the things that didn't, and maybe even the lessons we learned (some of us) the hard way.
