M&L, a Singapore-based hotel real estate investor, has appointed Gordon Fraser as Cluster General Manager at the Crowne Plaza Aberdeen Airport and Holiday Inn Express Aberdeen Airport. Bringing over 20 years of management experience, including eight years with Hilton Worldwide at the Hilton Edinburgh Grosvenor Hotel, Gordon has immersed himself in multi-site management, mid-market and up-market properties, new builds, distressed properties, change programmes and capital project management throughout his career.

Colin Gunn has been appointed as Captain (GM) at Moxy Aberdeen Airport

Moxy Aberdeen Airport has appointed Colin Gunn as its new Captain, the brand"s twist on the general manager position. Gunn replaces Donovan Sumner who was instrumental in overseeing the opening of the 200-bedroomed hotel in December 2016 and has stepped up to working for Belvar, the hotel"s management company, in a head-office role. A Hospitality Management graduate of Robert Gordons University, 37-year-old Gunn has spent his career in the hospitality industry in Aberdeen. Before joining Moxy Aberdeen, Colin worked for 9 years with the Holiday Inn Aberdeen West, where he won numerous reputable awards. For the last 3 years, he has been named as the region"s Deputy GM of the Year at the Scottish Hotel Awards. Notably, in November, he claimed the Tourism and Hospitality Hero title at the Aberdeen City and Shire Tourism Awards, which shortlists him for a prestigious Scottish Thistle, due to be awarded in March.

Independent craft brewer, BrewDog, has announced plans to build the world"s first craft beer hotel, and will launch an immersive craft beer hotel & brewery expansion at the brewery"s headquarters in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Hampton by Hilton Aberdeen Airport Opens

The first phase of a multimillion pound hospitality sector development has opened its doors in Aberdeen. Hampton by Hilton represents the introduction of a new brand to the North East of Scotland and the company is investing more than £34 million in creating two brand new, purpose-built hotels at Dyce, Aberdeen and Westhill, Aberdeenshire. The move will add an additional 300+ rooms to the accommodation provision in the area, and will create more than 100 jobs across the two locations.

Aberdeen City Council And Hilton Sign For Hotel At New Aberdeen Exhibition And Conference Centre

Aberdeen City Council and Hilton Worldwide (NYSE:HLT) have signed a franchise licence agreement to open a 200 room Hilton Hotels & Resorts property at the new AECC. Hilton Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre, set to be the fourth Hilton property in the city, will connect directly to the new AECC and is expected to create approximately 350 jobs. Aberdeen City Council Leader Councillor Jenny Laing said: "The signing of Hilton Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre is the next step of this major project.

Residence Inn by Marriott Adds Second Hotel in Scotland

Marriott International (NASDAQ: MAR) and Aberdeen City Council have today signed an agreement to deliver a brand new Residence Inn by Marriott hotel on the new Marischal Square development in the centre of Aberdeen.
