Brighton Shereni has been appointed as Director of Human Resources at Kempinski Hotel Ajman

Brighton has been with Kempinski since 2010, initially starting with the company in East Africa before joining Kempinski Hotel Ajman in the capacity of training manager in 2011. A Zimbabwe national, Brighton started his career with the exclusive North Island Seychelles, subsequently joining Constance Hotels & Resorts – one of the Indian Ocean’s leading luxury brands. Prior to his recent promotion, Brighton held the position of human resources manager. In his new enlarged role, he will continue to oversee all aspects of the hotel’s human resources operations, catering for nearly 300 employees.

Nicolai Schleifer has been appointed as Executive Chef at Kempinski Hotel Ajman

With over 20 years' experience in several continents, he has worked on menu redesigns which include dishes inspired by many cultures, with one example being venison loin in tramezzini with pak choi and cranberry. Schleifer began his career at the age of 15, and joined the Kempinski brand in 2009, after which he worked in countries like Tanzania, Malta, United Kingdom, Egypt, Germany and now, the United Arab Emirates. While working for the Kempinski brand in Malta, he also obtained a higher management diploma for ''Change and Innovation in Tourism''. This has earned him a place in the examination board for the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Munich and Upper Bavaria.

Henny Schaeffer has been appointed as General Manager at Fairmont Ajman

Schaeffer brings a wealth of knowledge to this position with over 20 years of experience with leading hospitality companies. He has held executive positions with Sonesta International in the Caribbean, Europe, Middle East and the United States, worked for Ritz Carlton in Miami and managed several Boutique Hotels on South Beach, Miami. He joined Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in 2008 as General Manager, for the residential component of the Fairmont on the Palm Jumeirah, Dubai as part of the pre opening team.

Iftikhar Hamdani has been appointed as at Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman

Mr. Hamdani brings over 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He started his career with Ramada Ajman as Director of Sales & Marketing in 2009 and was later promoted to Executive Assistant Manager. Within eight months he was promoted as General Manager, bringing several changes in the hotel operations and hotel performance. Ramada Ajman, the largest hotel in terms of room inventory (with 336 rooms) in the northern emirates currently enjoys 87 per cent occupancy year to date. Under Mr. Hamdani’s leadership, the hotel exceeded the expectation of the owners as well as both in-house and outside guests.
