Mina Gagraj has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Hyatt Place Albany

A 12-year hospitality veteran, Gagraj most recently was area director of sales with Marriott at Residence Inn and Courtyard in the Albany and Kingston market, where she oversaw both hotels and increased year-over-year revenue growth with increased sales by 10%. She has held multiple property level positions over the years, including marketing and catering sales manager with the Double Tree by Hilton in Schenectady NY. Gagraj is part a member at Discovery Albany and the Albany Chamber of Commerce. She received her degree in hospitality from Cornell University.

Catlin Ptak has been named General Manager at Hyatt Place Albany

With 16 years of hospitality experience, Ptak began her career in the hospitality industry as night auditor at the Holiday Inn, Middletown, NY. Since then, she has risen steadily within the ranks, including night manager at the Hilton Albany and most recently the New England area manager with Visions Hotels. While there, she oversaw diverse teams at multiple hotels, during concurrent renovations, focusing on elevating the guest experience through exceptional service. Catlin has been previously involved with volunteering and contributing to various LGBTQ+ organizations. She received her associate degree in liberal arts/mathematics from SUNY Orange.

Cynthia Stanley has been named General Manager at Holiday Inn Albany

Ms. Stanley’s extensive background in hospitality includes previously serving as the general manager of the luxurious Woodcliff Hotel and Spa in Fairport, N.Y., for three years. The 234-room property features a lavish spa, 9-hole regulation golf course, fine dining and full service health club. She also served as the general manager of Racine Marriott in Racine, Wis., Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest in Ypsilanti, Mich., and Sheraton Inn in Dunkirk, N.Y. Ms. Stanley is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business. “I’m excited to join such a well-known and significant property in the region,” said Stanley. “The hotel’s proximity to popular tourist destinations, reputation as an ideal hotel for business travellers, extensive meeting and event spaces and beautifully appointed guestrooms and lobby make it an exciting property.”
