Denise Figuls has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at Country Inn & Suites by Carlson™

Leo Spriggs, President and CEO of Hospitality Management Corporation (HMC), is delighted to announce the addition of Denise Figuls to the sales team at the newly constructed Country Inn & Suites by Carlson™ in Anaheim, CA, scheduled to open in December 2016. Figuls will be responsible for all revenue generation for the hotel, as well as oversee all sales and marketing efforts. She will focus on developing and increasing revenue opportunities, client satisfaction and managing local initiatives to increase customer and brand awareness. The company continues its ongoing business expansion efforts and is made up of full service, conference center, select service and limited service hotels. HMC is one of the country’s largest third-party privately held hotel management companies, ranked in the top 40 of all third party and owner operated hotel management companies.

Alyssa Courtney has been appointed as Senior Sales Executive at Anaheim Marriott

Alyssa Courtney has been appointed senior sales executive at the Anaheim Marriott, it was announced by Dan Shaughnessy, director of sales and marketing. Mrs. Courtney will be covering the Mid-Atlantic region including Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia and will be focused on securing corporate and association business. She has been with the Anaheim Marriott for the past two years, where she cultivated the hotel’s presence in the California State Association and Affinity markets. Alyssa brings over 10 years of expertise in the hotel industry to her new position. Prior to joining the Anaheim Marriott, she was a sales executive for Marriott’s Southwest Region representing the Marriott, JW, Renaissance Hotels & Resorts, Residence Inn, Courtyard, Fairfield, Townplace and Springhill Suites brands in the Los Angeles market. In her spare time, Alyssa enjoys staying active while enjoying Southern California's sunshine, beaches, and trails.

Michael Mustafa has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at Hilton Anaheim

Mustafa most recently served as the director of Sales & Marketing at the Hilton Orange County/Costa Mesa, which is managed by Remington Hotels. Over his more than 25-year career, he honed his skills as the Sales & Marketing director for the Mobil Five-Star, AAA Five-Diamond St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort, The Westin South Coast Plaza, the Sheraton Gateway, Los Angeles Airport, and the Ontario Airport Marriott.

Debbi See has been appointed as Senior Sales Executive at Anaheim Marriott

With more than 22 years of experience in the hotel and event production industry, Ms. See comes to the Anaheim Marriott from Freeman, where she was Senior Sales Manager. She is, however, no newcomer to Marriott International, having worked in various sales and management positions with the company since 1990 including positions at the San Diego Marriott Marquis, Marriott International Headquarters, Crystal City Marriott, Orlando World Center Marriott Resort and Convention Center, San Ramon Marriott, JW Marriott Washington DC, Greenbelt Marriott, and Santa Clara Marriott. For the past four years, Debbi has also volunteered her time as Operations and Exhibits Chairperson for AFCEA-San Diego/C4ISR Symposium where the main goal is to raise money for student scholarships for STEM (Science, Technologies, Engineering and Mathematics).

Dan Shaughnessy has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at the Anaheim Marriott

Prior to joining the Anaheim Marriott, Mr. Shaughnessy was director of sales and marketing at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel & Spa. With a total of 23 years in the hospitality industry, Mr. Shaughnessy has spent the past 19 years with Marriott Hotels & Resorts at various properties throughout Southern California and Arizona. In his new role, Mr. Shaughnessy will be responsible for the property sales, profits, booking pace, market positioning, advertising, marketing, public relations, and e-commerce.

George Kalogridis has been appointed as President at the Disneyland Resort

George Kalogridis, a 38-year Disney veteran and former Disneyland executive, has been named president of the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. Kalogridis most recently served as chief operating officer for Disneyland Resort Paris, where he was responsible for leading the operations team and overseeing the highly successful 15th anniversary celebration of the resort. Kalogridis, 55, will report to Al Weiss, president of Worldwide Operations for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. He replaces Ed Grier, who is retiring from the company. From 2000 to 2002, Kalogridis served as senior vice president of Resort Operations for the Disneyland Resort, where he played a significant role in the first expansion of the resort - the opening of Disney's California Adventure park and Downtown Disney. In addition, he was responsible for the daily operations of both theme parks and three hotels, as well as Downtown Disney.
