Jörg Arnold has been appointed as General Manager and Cluster Director at The Chedi Andermatt

Jörg Arnold will take over management of The Chedi Andermatt as General Manager on October 1, 2023; at the same time he will become Cluster Director Hotels Andermatt of Orascom Hotels Management. In this function, he will continue to grow the hotels and develop them into a prime alpine destination. Jörg Arnold (born 1960) was most recently General Manager of the 5* hotels Storchen and Widder in Zurich and Alex in Thalwil.

Carsten Alexander Kypke has been appointed as Executive Chef at The Chedi Andermatt, the gastronomic destination resort in Andermatt, Switzerland. Dietmar Sawyere, who has played a key role in shaping the F&B concepts at the 5-star hotel since 2015, will continue his work as Executive Chef of The Japanese Restaurant (1 Michelin star, 17 GaultMillau points) and The Japanese by The Chedi Andermatt (1 Michelin star, 15 GaultMillau points).

Radisson Blu opens its doors in the Swiss Alps

Dietmar Sawyere has been appointed as Executive Chef at The Chedi Andermatt

Sawyere has taken on the Executive Chef role at The Chedi Andermatt and will head all dining operations including the Gault Millau awarded eatery, The Restaurant and The Japanese Restaurant by Hide Yamamoto. The Restaurant offers East-West cuisine in an original Swiss setting, while guests experience the chefs’ work first hand by looking into the four theatre kitchens. The five-metre high glass cheese cellar is also a highlight. The Japanese Restaurant by Hide Yamamoto features an outstanding sushi and sashimi bar as well as a tempura counter, offering an authentic Japanese experience complete with the largest selection of sake in the Alps.

Jean-Yves Blatt has been appointed as General Manager at The Chedi Andermatt

A little more than a year after The Chedi Andermatt’s remarkable debut, the hotel’s management company, GHM, has named a permanent replacement to the pre-opening / launch general manager. Jean-Yves Blatt assumes charge of the acclaimed 101-room hotel today, March 4, succeeding the property’s first GM, Alain Bachmann, who relocated in July to Indonesia where he now leads another GHM property, The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah Ubud in Bali.

Mansour Memarian has been appointed as Executive Chef at The Chedi Andermatt

German-Iranian Mansour Memarian, who has two Michelin stars under his belt, has been appointed Executive Chef and will head all dining operations at new luxury resort in the Swiss Alps, The Chedi Andermatt. In his new role, Memarian is not only responsible for the Front of House, but will oversee and manage the kitchens and The Chedi Andermatt’s restaurants including The Restaurant, which serves international and Asian cuisine, and the highly anticipated Japanese Restaurant with its sushi, sashimi and tempura bar.
