Prior to joining the team as hotel manager, Sonja Chase served as the director of rooms, engineering and spa at Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa, driving record-breaking revenues, profitability and colleague engagement despite the pandemic. With nearly 15 years of experience, Chase also gained extensive operations knowledge serving in several other managerial roles within Hyatt, including as associate director of operations at Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego, executive housekeeper and front office manager at Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center and front office manager at Grand Hyatt Seattle.

Dustin Imbesi has been appointed as Area Director of Sales, Marketing and Events at Thompson Austin and tommie Austin

Area Director of Sales, Marketing and Events Dustin Imbesi joins Thompson and tommie Austin after serving in leadership positions throughout the hospitality industry for over 20 years, most recently as vice president of sales & revenue in the hospitality division of Hamister Group, LLC. In this role, Imbesi added new properties and implemented countless sales, marketing and revenue strategies, contributing to the management company's overall success. Previously, he held various director-level positions within the Hyatt family, specifically at the Hyatt Regencies in Rochester, New York, Newport, California, Minneapolis, Reston, Virginia, Washington D.C. and San Francisco.

Jan Shaw has been appointed as Area Director of Revenue Management at Thompson Austin and tommie Austin

Before stepping into her new role at Thompson and tommie Austin, Area Director of Revenue Management Jan Shaw held the director of revenue management position at the W Austin for nearly a decade. During her time with Marriott Hotels and Resorts, Shaw was successful at developing multiple disciplines within her revenue teams and working at properties from 200 to over 1,400 rooms in varying locations of suburban, city center and resort destinations. Over the course of 20 years, Shaw served in multiple leadership positions, acting as director of revenue management at the La Cantera Hill County Resort in San Antonio and several hotels in the Kansas City area, including sales and training roles for Starwood Hotels & Resorts and IHG Hotels & Resorts.

Michael J Deutsch has been appointed as General Manager at Hilton Garden Inn Austin University Capitol District

Deutsch brings over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, previously serving in leadership positions across Hilton, Hampton Inn, DoubleTree and Embassy Suites properties in the Northeast. Most recently, he served as the general manager at Sheraton Bucks County Langhorne in Langhorne, Penn. In his new role, Deutsch will oversee all operations at the property including the property's guest rooms, three food and beverage outlets and meeting spaces.

The property is being developed in partnership with Lincoln Property Company and Kairoi Residential.

Brad Wilkins has been appointed as Design Leader at HKS

Brad Wilkins will serve as the studio design leader for the Austin office and brings an extensive portfolio of more than 100 projects that span 20 countries. While skyscraper design - specifically Supertall and mixed-use skyscrapers - are a specialty of his, Wilkins' passion for urban planning, energy efficiency, resiliency master planning, clean technology, and transit-oriented design are all key factors in harnessing the energy of the new office.

Cambria Hotels Expands In Texas Capital

Amy Cantu has been appointed as Assistant General Manager at Aloft Austin Southwest

Pathfinder Hospitality has hired Amy Cantu, previously with White Lodging, to be the Assistant General Manager for Aloft Austin Southwest (Opening Spring 2022). Amy brings over 10 years of hospitality experience in various roles and we are thrilled she has joined the Pathfinder team for this exciting project!
