Art House Basel - A Creative Hub In The Heart Of The City

A new platform for art on Basel's famed Steinenvorstadt, Art House Basel is a contemporary gem that blooms with creativity and a love of design. Comprising 33 rooms and suites, a sky-high bar overlooking the city, an in-house restaurant and multiple gallery spaces throughout, the newly built hotel carves a uniquely modern space into a part of the city most renowned for its Old Town. Tying it all together is sophisticated interior design courtesy of Andrea Caputo and Salomé Fäh, who have paired natural materials with a subtle Japanese touch and outstanding street art from the partnering Colab Gallery for an end result that is a veritable playground for creativity and reflects the owners' desire to launch a statement property in the heart of Basel.

Nicola Grupp has been appointed as General Manager at Radisson Blu Hotel Basel

Nicola"s journey with Carlson Rezidor started in September 2012 at the Radisson Blu Hotel Cologne in Germany. Throughout his career, Nicola has held various positions in the company such as Rooms Division Manager, Director of Operations and Executive Assistant Manager. Nicola chose Rezidor for two reasons. In the first place, he says Rezidor has always empowered him to bring his ideas and values into the hotel and if something didn"t work out, the company motivated him to try again with a different approach; and secondly, he appreciates the investments Rezidor is making for their people and their education.

Mövenpick Hotels announces 264-room hotel in Basel’s city centre in 2019

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts will open a new 264-room hotel in Basel"s city centre in 2019, set to become the hotel group"s flagship hotel in Europe. Located in the heart of the city, next to the SBB railway station, the hotel can easily be accessed from several European cities. The 19-storey building is designed by renowned architects Miller & Maranta, while the "Timeless Modern" interiors incorporating several design classics, are created by Matteo Thun.
