A new era of adventure arrives in Breckenridge as Hotel Alpenrock Breckenridge™, Curio Collection by Hilton™ is set to debut this winter. The 205-room hotel will elevate the mountain town's lodging experience with modern elegance and alpine charm. Located along the base of Peak 9, steps from both the world-renowned slopes of the Breckenridge Ski Resort and the historic downtown, Hotel Alpenrock draws inspiration from the high-altitude surroundings including the rugged beauty of the Rocky Mountains.

Kevan Beall has been named First Customer Engagement Professional Award Winner at Breckenridge Grand Vacations

CustomerCount(TM) and Resort Trades have announced the first recipient of the Customer Engagement Professional (CEP) Award. The award, which recognizes outstanding leaders who exemplify customer engagement within the resort/hospitality industry, was bestowed upon Kevan Beall, General Manager of Breckenridge Grand Vacations (BGV) Breck Inn Hotel. The Breck Inn is a hotel that the company operates primarily for tour guests. Since receiving the award, Kevan has been promoted to Assistant GM for BGV’s brand new resort, the Grand Colorado on Peak 8.

Douglas “Chip” Nelson has been appointed as General Manager at The Village at Breckenridge

Including general manager positions, Nelson brings a skillset that spans a variety of operations from rooms and property management to spa, food and beverage, events, and conference services. Most recently, Nelson was general manager of Scrub Island Resort in the British Virgin Islands; prior to that he was general manager of Christophe Harbour Management Company in St. Kitts, West Indies.

Aaron Boyd has been appointed as Executive Chef for 9600 Kitchen at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel at Breckenridge is pleased to announce the appointment of Aaron Boyd to the position of Executive Chef at 9600 Kitchen. Bringing more than 18 years of extensive knowledge and experience with restaurant and hotel management, as well as developing creative and fresh menus, Chef Boyd will oversee the launch of 9600 Kitchen's refreshed menus and dining experience, debuting this winter just in time for ski season.

Brandy Sawyer has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Breckenridge Hospitality

Most recently, Brandy served as corporate director of sales for Sage Hospitality in Denver, Colorado where she executed strategy for the properties within the portfolio. Previously, she held a number of positions within Sage Hospitality and Marriott International, including director of sales and marketing for Residence Inn by Marriott Denver City Center and senior sales manager for Courtyard by Marriott Denver Downtown. Before his role with Breckenridge Hospitality, David spent nine years at Keystone Resort as group sales manager and associate director of sales. He has 23 years of hospitality industry experience.

Patricia Campbell has been appointed as Senior VP and COO at Breckenridge Resort

Prior to that, she was chief operating officer of Keystone Resort since November 2006. Campbell brings 21 years of expertise in the ski industry and extensive senior management experience. From 1999-2006, Campbell had been director of skier services for Breckenridge Ski Resort, responsible for overseeing the departments of ski and ride school, ticket and product sales, and guest service, among others. Prior to that position, Campbell had served as director of the resort's ski and snowboard school. She was director of the ski and snowboard school for Grand Targhee Ski Resort in Alta, Wyo. from 1995-1999, and served in various roles from ski school instructor to assistant ski school director for Jackson Hole Mountain Resort from 1985-1995. Campbell serves as a member of the board of the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center.
