Hyatt announced today the opening of Hyatt Centric Sector 17 Chandigarh, marking the debut of the Hyatt Centric brand in Chandigarh. Paying homage to French architect Le Corbusier who designed the city along with Pierre Jeanneret, Jane Drew, and Maxwell Fry, the hotel celebrates both Corbusier's design philosophy and the vibrant and bold culture of Punjab.

Having a rich experience of 12 years in managing fine dining, Chef Avigo is known for refining the art of cooking, developing impressive menus and preparing culinary dishes influenced by culturally diverse regions around the globe.
JW Marriott Chandigarh announces the appointment of Saurabh Thakur as the new Director of Operations for its property. In this role, Saurabh will be assisting the General Manager in overseeing the operations of the hotel which has 164 rooms, 4 food and beverage outlets, meeting and banqueting space that can accommodate up to 1000 people at a given time, a fully equipped fitness centre, swimming pool and spa.
With an experience of over seventeen years in the hospitality sector, Pankaj K Chaudhary has joined JW Marriott Chandigarh as its Director of Sales and Marketing. Having gained a rich experience in sales & marketing from working with various leading properties across India in both metro and non-metro markets, Pankaj was working as the Director of Sales at Courtyard by Marriott, Agra prior to joining JW Marriott Chandigarh.
With a hospitality career spanning more than 17 years, Mr Baijal is respected for his expansive knowledge of the hotel industry, and brings with him to Chandigarh a broad experience of working with a number of Hyatt brands. In his last position at Doha, Qatar, Mr Baijal planned and executed, large scale restaurants, high-profile awards event for a global magazine brand and in earlier assignment was part of a select task force dispatched to Grand Hyatt Berlin to oversee event operations for Incredible India and catering for Fraport airport services. Before joining Hyatt, Mr Baijal worked in India with both Taj & Leela, two of the country’s most prestigious hotel chains. Born and raised in Gwalior, Mr Baijal graduated in hotel management at IHM Hyderabad. He holds a master’s degree in hotel sales ,marketing and finance, is an accredited wine specialist from Italy, and a certified social media and hospitality management professional courtesy of eCornell. Despite rising through the hospitality ranks relatively swiftly, Mr Baijal has always focused on guest satisfaction and the betterment of his team. His continuous drive to improve and personalize the guest experience has resulted in improved customer engagement, increased conversion and greater loyalty to the Hyatt brand.
