David Lemmond has been appointed as General Manager at The Highland Dallas

The Highland Dallas, recently reimagined and rebranded from the Hotel Palomar, has appointed David Lemmond as general manager. In this role, Lemmond is responsible for overall hotel operations, sales and marketing divisions and property-wide food and beverage program. The announcement follows the hotel's unveiling as the first hotel to join Curio - A Collection by Hilton.

Courtney Morrow has been appointed as Marketing Manager at Hilton Anatole

Courtney Morrow has joined the Hilton Anatole to oversee all of the hotel’s social media efforts, media relations, reputation management and corporate partnerships. Additionally, Morrow will focus on driving awareness of the hotel’s special events, particularly Christmas at the Anatole and Sparkle! Previously, Morrow served as a marketing and social media manager for Starwood Hotels & Resorts. In this role, Morrow was responsible for media relations, reputation management and social media efforts at the Westin Galleria Dallas. For one year of her time with Starwood, Morrow had the additional responsibility of the social media work for the Sheraton Dallas. Ruth Leis has been appointed as Director of Sales at Hilton Anatole

Ruth Leis has been appointed the Hilton Anatole’s director of sales. Leis joins Hilton Worldwide after spending the past 10 years at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. For more than four years, she served as executive director of sales at MGM, leading a team of 15 managers targeting conventions and conferences for the 6,000-room hotel. Prior to that, Leis was responsible for the Midwest region, where she also supervised the MGM’s small meetings team. She was consistently ranked as one of the top-producing salespeople during her time with the MGM Resorts International. Prior to MGM, Leis spent four years handling the Northeast region at the 2,500-room Rio All-Suite Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. Leis holds a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation, has served on the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Americas board of directors, and is a member of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA).

Kavin Schieferdecker has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Hilton Anatole

Schieferdecker has been part of the Hilton Anatole team since 2009, serving as the director of sales. He has proven his success in this role by delivering increased room production year after year. In 2011, the team booked 94,000 rooms for 2012 - breaking records within Hilton Worldwide for a single year's bookings. In addition, he has led the team to increase group room revenue by 24 percent since he started in 2009.

Kelly Blecke has been appointed as Senior Sales Manager, Mid-Atlantic Corporate & Association Markets at Hilton Anatole

Blecke recently joined the Hilton Anatole from the Marriott global sales team where she served as an association global account executive. Blecke spent more than 10 years in various corporate sales roles at Marriott properties such as the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront and Anaheim Marriott in addition to her global sales role. Prior to Marriott, Blecke served as a senior sales manager at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore. She is a member of the Capital Chapter for the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), Potomac Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and the Maryland Chapter of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).

Melanie Brockway has been promoted to Catering Sales Manager at The Westin Galleria Dallas

Melanie joined the Westin Galleria Dallas team in 2013 as Meeting and Event Coordinator, where she managed internal functions, coordinated guest amenities and communicated with clients. She came to the Westin Galleria Dallas from the World Trade Center Arkansas. Melanie has a degree from the University of Arkansas in Hospitality and Restaurant Management, with a minor in Marketing.

Tanda East has been promoted to Director of Group Sales at The Westin Galleria Dallas

Tanda has been a member of the Westin Galleria Dallas team for more than 15 years. She started as the Senior Convention Services Manager in 1998 and has played a vital role ever since, most recently as the Director of Catering and Event Management. Tanda has greatly developed her leadership skills and hospitality industry knowledge during her time at the Westin Galleria Dallas. She is an accomplished Certified Meeting Professional and Certified Meeting Manager.

Heather Anderson has been appointed as Director of Catering and Convention Services at The Westin Galleria Dallas

Heather Anderson joins The Westin Galleria Dallas after nearly ten years at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, where she most recently served as the Assistant Director of Convention Services. At the Gaylord, Anderson executed numerous complex conventions annually and led the Convention Services Team. Anderson also boasts hospitality experience at the Fairmont Hotel and Bristol Hotels & Resorts.

Stefan Huber has been appointed as General Manager at InterContinental Dallas

Huber comes to the InterContinental Dallas with extensive industry knowledge ranging from intimate boutique to full service hotel, resort and convention settings. For the past five years, Huber worked for Destination Hotels and Resorts and served as the General Manager at various locations throughout the US. During his tenure at the Inn and Spa at Loretto, the property achieved a AAA Four Diamond rating and was named a Conde Nast Readers Choice Award winner for three consecutive years. Before that, Huber was at the Fairmont Dallas for a period of ten years. There he oversaw several renovations and converted the hotel to a AAA Four Diamond property. Other experience includes nine years with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts at a variety of destinations in the US and Caribbean as well as several Hilton Resorts in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

David Chestler has been appointed as Executive Vice President The Americas at SiteMinder

As SiteMinder's Executive Vice President for the Americas, Mr Chestler will help continue expanding SiteMinder's footprint in the Americas market, with primary focus being on the growth in the US. Heading the agenda will be Mr Chestler's attendance at the world's largest hospitality technology conference, HITEC, in Minneapolis, from June 24-27, 2013, where he will represent SiteMinder as a major global player in online distribution (booth number 1436).
