As ALHI's new Vice President of Meeting Design and Experience, Zamora will lead and accelerate the company's vision for meetings and events in partnership with more than 250 member hotels and partners.Prior to joining ALHI, Zamora spent seven years at Virtuoso, a global network of travel agencies specializing in luxury and experiential travel, where she led the organization's major pivot from in-person to digital events. She also produced the company's well-attended Virtuoso Travel Week in Las Vegas and their International Symposiums, Forum and Chairman events for many years. Zamora culminated her tenure at Virtuoso as the Director of Event Operations.

New Sapphire Bay Resort, a Destination Hotel, Will Anchor New $1 Billion Mixed-Use Community in Rowlett, Texas

Sapphire Bay, the new $1 billion master-planned mixed-use development project on the shore of Lake Ray Hubbard with a multiphase opening beginning in 2022, announced today that Hyatt will operate the new Sapphire Bay Resort & Conference Center on behalf of a public-private partnership with the City of Rowlett. Set to be located on the Sapphire Bay Peninsula and expected to open in fall 2023, the resort will join Hyatt's Destination Hotels brand and showcase more than 500 guestrooms, suites and villas each with waterfront views overlooking Lake Ray Hubbard and the seven-acre man-made Sapphire Bay Lagoon.

Akard Street in the historic George-Dahl-designed building, The National, and features 219 rooms, including 52 suites, two penthouse suites and two world-class culinary destinations: Nine at The National and Catbird. The restoration of The National's $460 million preservation, paired with the Thompson Hotels brand's elevated culinary offerings, arts and entertainment, and groundbreaking design, bridges Dallas' rich legacy of The National with the Thompson Hotels brand's take on modern luxury at the refined edge of travel. The hotel's design is brought to life through a collaboration between Caroline Todd of Todd Interiors and Cindy Zelazny of Interiors Limited. Merriman Anderson Architects are the architects of record for the development and are also involved in the interior design.

The restoration and reusing of materials salvaged during The National's $460 million preservation combined with Thompson Hotels' world-class culinary offerings, art and entertainment, and groundbreaking design bridges the rich Dallas legacy of The National with Thompson Hotels' take on modern luxury.

Born and raised in Texas, Hernandez comes to HALL Arts Hotel from The Joule in Dallas, where she began as a bartender, later assisting in the opening of five on-property dining concepts. Most recently, Hernandez helped lead The Joule's Americano team as assistant general manager of the popular Italian restaurant. With more than two decades of experience in the food and beverage industry, Hernandez has uncovered her passion for creating memorable dining experience for diners and fostering a positive team atmosphere for everyone on staff. As general manager of Ellie's Restaurant & Lounge, she utilizes her keen attention to detail to manage the refined and thoughtful service the upscale restaurant is known for. When she's not mixing drinks or greeting guests, Hernandez enjoys yoga, reading, camping and spending time with her family.

In her new role as general manager, Martin oversees all day-to-day operations for HALL Arts Hotel, including hotel and food and beverage services, budget, staffing and leadership, and is responsible for curating and maintaining an unforgettable guest experience for everyone who walks in the door. A Texas native, Martin began her career as a front desk agent and worked her way up the industry ladder, gaining a wealth of expert knowledge that spans more than 20 years. Martin has worked for a variety of established and respected hospitality brands across the country including Starwood Hotels and Resorts and HEI Hotels and Resorts. She has led her teams to award-winning success, earning prestigious accolades including Outstanding Performance: Guest Service Hotel from HEI Hotels and Franchised Hotel of the Year by Le Meridien - Marriott Hotels. Outside of work, Martin enjoys traveling, gardening, cooking and exploring new experiences with her family.
