Emmanuel Vallée has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Jumeirah Creekside Hotel

Emmanuel Vallée has worked in hospitality for over 15 years for renowned brands such as Le Méridien, Hilton and Accor in the US, France, UK, Morocco. Prior to joining Jumeirah he was Director of Sales and Marketing for Ritz-Carlton in Dubai. A French national, Emmanuel holds a MBA in Hospitality Management from ESSEC Business School in Paris and speaks English, French and Spanish. His interest for arts and culture will serve him well in Jumeirah Creekside as the city hotel, welcoming its first guests in summer 2012, will display an extensive art collection of contemporary middle-eastern artists.

Philippe Georges Zuber has been appointed as General Manager at The Address Downtown Dubai

Emaar Hospitality Group, the hospitality and leisure business subsidiary of Emaar Properties, has appointed Philippe Georges Zuber as General Manager of The Address Downtown Dubai, a flagship property of The Address Hotels + Resorts, owned and managed by the Group.Zuber had earlier worked on key positions with international hotel chains in various global cities including Seoul, Paris, Berlin, Casablanca, Hong Kong and Los-Angeles, among others. He holds a Masters Degree in Finance & Management in Hotel Industry from The Strasbourg Graduate School of Management, and has a degree from the Hotel Management School, Strasbourg.

Mahmoud Sakr has been appointed as General Manager at Jumeirah Beach Hotel

Taking over Margaret Paul's former responsibilities, Mahmoud Sakr becomes General Manager of Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Mahmoud started his career with Jumeirah in 1999 as Director of Rooms for Jumeirah Group's flagship hotel, Burj Al Arab. He was promoted to Executive Assistant Manager - Rooms Division, then to Resident Manager, before becoming Hotel Manager. In 2008 he became General Manager of Mina A'Salam, part of Madinat Jumeirah resort. Mahmoud, an Egyptian national, has worked for several prestigious hotels throughout Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Margaret Paul has been appointed as General Manager at Madinat Jumeirah

Margaret Paul is appointed General Manager of Madinat Jumeirah - The Arabian Resort. She will oversee the management of the resort's three hotels - Al Qasr, Mina A'Salam and Dar Al Masyaf - as well as the popular Souk Madinat Jumeirah and the resort's Conference Centre. Margaret, a British national, has been with Jumeirah Group since 2002 when she became Hotel Manager for Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London. In 2004, she moved to Dubai as Hotel Manager for Jumeirah Beach Hotel, then was appointed General Manager for a pre-opening property before coming back to Jumeirah Beach Hotel as General Manager in 2008. Prior to joining the Jumeirah Group, Margaret worked for Le Meridien Hotels in Europe and Dubai.

Sharon Buenaventura has joined Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel as Executive Housekeeper

Sharon Buenaventura is the new executive housekeeper at the Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel, Dubai. Hailing from the Philippines, Sharon completed her university degree before joining in guest service for the Holland America Line for six years. She then returned to Manila to work for the Holiday Inn gaining experience in sales and marketing, public relations, administration and subsequently the housekeeping department. Following a move to the Middle East and a post at the World Trade Centre Hotel, Sharon joined the Jumeirah Beach Hotel as executive housekeeper and spa manager – winning an award as Executive Housekeeper of the Year during her time at the beach resort.

Winfried Helmetag has been named Executive Chef at Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai

The globe-trotting German national has spent more than 20 years in the Middle East, ten of those years based in the UAE, from hotels in Ajman to Abu Dhabi. His career in the Arab world began with a stint in Cairo in 1980, returning to the country a number of times throughout his career. He has also spent a period in Bahrain and two separate spells in Jordan, one of those years working as a personal chef for King Abdullah II. For the last seven years Chef Winfried has worked as Executive Chef for two Kempinski Hotels in the UAE. His wanderlust was not restricted to the Middle East, however, and he has also spent periods working in Scotland, London, Cyprus and Moscow.

Rouxshin Vajifdar has been appointed as Director of Sales at Holiday Inn Dubai

• New Director of Sales at the Holiday Inn Dubai – Al Barsha is Rouxshin Vajifdar, who has been promoted from her former role as Assistant Director of Sales. Since joining the hotel in March 2010, Rouxshin has been responsible for the Sales, Revenue and Reservations Department, as well as assisting with food and beverage promotions. Rouxshin has been in charge of these departments for the past one year. Her previous associations have been with Habtoor Hospitality, Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts and Hyatt International.
