Paramount Hotel Dubai is handing over the Director's hat and chair to an internationally experienced and innovative leader in the hospitality industry, Pascal Eggerstedt.Joining the Paramount Hotel Dubai cast as the Director, Pascal has an extensive background in senior hotel management complemented with a proven track record of consistent results, Pascal embarks on his journey in performing on the center stage of the glamorous and unique Hotel property.Pascal brings over two decades of international and regional experience in luxury hotels from Hong Kong, Singapore, London, Qatar, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi to the Caribbean. As Director he will be responsible for keeping the vision and brand values of the property while overseeing all hotel operations including rooms, food and beverage, revenue management, cast and development, marketing, sales, and future growth efforts.Prior to joining the Paramount Hotel, Pascal was a cluster General Manager responsible for overseeing two Hotels in the Capital Abu Dhabi, which helped him become fluent in all facets of the brand and continued growth along with the property. Pascal has 23 years of experience in the industry and 12 years in the MENA region. He has successfully maintained flawless service standards and leading results. Samir Avashti has been appointed as Cluster Commercial Director at 4 Hilton branded hotels

Hilton has appointed Samir Avasthi as cluster commercial director for Hampton by Hilton, Canopy by Hilton, Curio Collection (all in the Al Seef area) and DoubleTree by Hilton in Business Bay. He brings 16 years of experience in hotel sales, revenue, marketing and operational leadership experience to the role. He arrived in the UAE in September 2020, following spells leading Hilton's International sales office in India until 2015 and general manager at DoubleTree by Hilton Gurgaon, where he oversaw the tripling of revenue. Hilton says Avasthi was chosen to lead the commercial affairs of Al Seef Hilton cluster along with the Business Bay hotel for his versatile and skilled sales and marketing background and experience in developing, strategising and improving sales for hotels.

In his role, Amarinder will oversee and lead the Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, Reservations and Conferences & Events departments for the iconic and award-winning Hilton properties in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.Prior to joining Hilton Dubai Cluster, Amarinder was Commercial Director for Hi lton Singapore and Cluster Commercial Director for Thailand and Myanmar handling a portfolio of 15 Hilton hotels. There he extended his experience in strategy planning, team leadership and development, performance management, demand generation and key account management.Amarinder joined Hilton in 2014 as a Director of Business Development, leading the pre-opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru in Malaysia and later moved to commercial role at Southeast Asia's flagship Hilton Singapore. As a Director of Business Development at Hilton Singapore, he led the Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management and Reservation department for a 421-key property, quickly managing to improve hotel's 'market performance with strategic segment mix adjustment and inventory management which all resulted in exceeding hotels revenue budget.Amarinder also worked at Hilton India Regional Office as a Regional Director of Revenue Management from 2017 to 2019, successfully manag ing regional growth for a portfolio of 17 trading and three pre-opening hotels.Hailing from India, Amarinder graduated in Hospitality Management from Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology in New Delhi and also holds a Restaurant Revenue Management diploma from E Cornell University of Hotel Administration.In his earlier career, Amarinder held key Revenue Management and Operational positions with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, IHG, and Carlson group of hote ls in India and Malaysia.

Phil Roberts has been appointed as Director of Food & Beverage at Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Media City

Phil, a British national brings 19 years of hospitality experience to his new role in which he will oversee the operations of the Media City hotel, including its F&B outlets, outside catering, 12 meeting rooms and 246 keys, leading the culinary teams in all of the hotels dining venues, including Italian restraint Certo, media city hangout ICON Bar and rooftop Tamanya Terrace.Roberts has previously worked f or Radisson Hotel Group for a few years 2001 - 2008 as an executive head chef for Park Inn by Radisson, Telford and Park Inn by Radisson, Northampton.Before joining Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Media City, he served as the Hotel Operations Manager at Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa where he catered more than 700 guests daily overseeing both kitchen and F&B service operations.

Richard Bleakley has been appointed as General Manager at Element Al Jaddaf

General manager at the new Element Al Jaddaf in Dubai is Richard Bleakley, a hospitality veteran who first joined Marriott in the UK more than 20 years ago. Bleakley started out in the marketing and sales divisions, being made operations director at the Marriott Forest of Arden Hotel & Country Club in 2007. By 2009 he was already general manager of Northampton Marriott Hotel.

Samiha Al Balooshi has been appointed as Director of Human Resources at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray

Jumeirah Group, member of Dubai Holding, announces the appointment of new Human Resources Director Samiha Al Balooshi at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, following her successful career in the industry across the past 13 years.Commencing her new role in October, Samiha has attained over a decade of industry experience. She brings with her a wealth of insight into areas including employee relations, HR business partnering and talent acquisition across the banking, hospitality and the public sector. Her current role sees her taking the lead with the Operational HR Team and Learning & Development programs, in addition to overseeing all HR services, operations, employee relations, Emiratisation and performance management.Samiha has been with the Jumeirah Group since 2014, when she came on board as part of the Emiratisation Team to drive efforts to develop and recognise local talent. From this role, she moved forward to take on the position of Assistant HR Manager with the Regional HR & Corporate Office, where she was tasked with providing HR support across all Dubai based hotels and supported strategic projects for the region. Most recently, her previous role within the Group as Human Resources Manager and acting Senior HRBP at Jumeirah Beach Hotel, saw her leading a team accountably for HR Services, Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, Emiratisation and Performance Management.Her tenure with the Group has seen her achieve numerous awards from an internal and external front. Highlights of this include her recognition as HR Rising Star of the Year Award by CIPD Middle East Sept 2020, an over five internal appreciation certificates and letters from various departments within the Group for her outstanding performance across 2015 till date.Samiha is a graduate in Business Management from the University of Dubai and an Associate Member of the CIPD. 800-room RIU Dubai Opens in the UAE
