The Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai has appointed Ahsan Ali Khan as its new Director of Engineering. Ahsan brings over 17 years of outstanding experience in the hospitality industry. Ahsan's previous employment was with Radisson Blu Hotel where he held the role of Cluster Chief Engineer and prior to this he worked with international chains such as Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, Accor, Sheraton and Radisson hotels.

Chef Kiran Ramsaran holds a bachelor's degree, in hospitality & tourism management and he later specialized in culinary arts. His career began in Mauritius in the most prestigious international hotel groups of the country. 'Peanut Butter Spinach Soup', was the favorite dish of Nelson Mandela that Chef Kiran cooked for him during the official visit to Mauritius in 1998.Chef Kiran has been with Accor the l ast 7 years; his last venture was in Africa where he worked for Fairmont Kenya as Executive Chef. Chef Kiran is not a stranger to Dubai, where he worked for the other large Accor Cluster; the Novotel World Trade Centre as Cluster Executive Chef.In 2005, he pursued his culinary journey at Habtoor Hospitality in Dubai and then his career path continued as Executive Chef where he perfected his skills in sunny Seychelles and Maldives. He also acquired a great knowledge of the oriental & savory Iranian flavors in Iran in 2015, which adds on his varied background.Having worked in such positions as Executive Chef & Sous chef across different countries, he understands what it takes to keep a restaurant running smoothly and to provide unbeatable customer service.Driven by passion, the aim of the new Chef is to make Novotel Dubai Al Barsha a culinary destination. Chef Kiran's cooking style is defined by inspiring and preserving the original flavors of fresh ingredients as well as combining different cultures while keeping the classic cuisine. Having spent his early years in Mauritius to learn a diversity of local foods and cooking techniques he has now a strong knowledge on the Creole cuisine. This allows him to create worldwide flavors from Asia, Middle East, Africa & Europe, thus bringing an international flair to Novotel Dubai Al Barsha restaurants. Apart from his culinary skill, he has been dedicating himself to launch the first Winnow project in UAE within one of Accor hotels, Novotel World Trade Centre, in view of reducing food waste in the kitchen.As Chef Kiran himself testifies, travelling has influenced his culinary skills in a considerable way, allowing him to create original and unique flavored dishes. Today, Kiran delights the guests of Novotel Dubai Al Barsha with exquisite dishes served with international flavor from Dubai, Kenya, Middle East and unique exotic & tropical taste acquired over the yea rs in Mauritius, Seychelles & Maldives.

Farah Sarieddine has been promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing at Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort

Benjamin Bruno Alves has been appointed as Cluster Executive Pastry Chef at Address Boulevard and Address Dubai Mall

Benjamin Bruno Alves joins Address Hotels and Resorts as cluster executive pastry chef and will oversee desserts and pastries at the Boulevard and Dubai Mall locations. Prior to his appointment, Alves was a pastry chef at two Michelin starred Marc Meneau Restaurant in France. He has also held positions in London, Paris, Taipei and Beirut.
