Katharina joined the Group in 2016 as PR & Marketing Communications Manager at Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Media City and progressed to her last role as Cluster Director of PR & Communications for Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Waterfront and Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Canal View as part of the preopening team, in charge of the full communications mix, from Marketing to PR and Communications.

Pierre Basmadjian Amwaj Rotana's director of human hesources has held various executive positions including corporate director of HR at the Rotana Corporate Office and pre-opening HR director of the Novotel and Adagio Abu Dhabi Al Bustan and Yas Island Rotana & Centro Yas Island.An Armenian national, Basmadjian, whose experience spans over 15 years in the hospitality industry, will be responsible for driving the property's human resources strategy and day to day operations.

Deema Sartawi has been appointed as Director of Marketing Communications at Amwaj Rotana

Sartawi who joined Rotana in 2002, has held various executive positions including the cluster director of marketing and communications at Al Bustan and Al Murooj Rotana in Dubai. She also assisted the pre-opening team of Burgu Arjaan and Tango Arjaan by Rotana in Istanbul, Turkey during the opening phase for six months.Prior to her appointment, Sartawi recently held the position of the director of Al Bandar Rotana and Al Bandar Arjaan by Rotana, where she participated in the pre-opening development of the two hotels at Dubai Creek.She brings over 15 years of experience in the marketing field and will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies as well as promoting brand awareness through effective marketing campaigns and public relations.

Katharina has also led many successful UAE wide PR initiatives and campaigns over the past few years through the Commercial Focus Group.

Hyatt Announces Plans for Andaz Dubai The Palm

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) announced today that a Hyatt affiliate has entered into a management agreement with wasl Asset Management Group, one of the largest real estate development and management companies in Dubai, for the development of an Andaz branded hotel on the Palm Jumeirah. Occupying prime real estate on the world-famous man-made island, Andaz Dubai The Palm is slated to open in the last quarter of 2019, becoming the first Andaz branded hotel in Dubai and the second Andaz hotel in the United Arab Emirates, joining Andaz Capital Gate Abu Dhabi.
