Stockyards Heritage Development Co. and Hotel Drover are excited to announce Kristin Assad as the vp/general manager of their new 4-Star property. Set to open in Fall 2020, Hotel Drover will serve as the anchor and crown jewel for the Fort Worth Stockyards and soon-to-open Mule Alley mixed use development. Part of the Marriott Autograph Collection of hotels, this stunning 6 story hotel will feature 200 beautifully appointed rooms and suites, as well as 15,000 square feet of meeting space, an elegant barn for weddings, meetings, and social events and a chef-curated restaurant, 97 West Kitchen & Bar.

John Klukan has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at The Sinclair, a Marriott Autograph Collection Hotel

Klukan brings over 25 years of industry experience to The Sinclair. As director of sales and marketing, Klukan oversees sales efforts and the overall positioning of the hotel. A graduate of the Conrad N. Hilton Hotel School at The University of Houston, Klukan began his career in hospitality management and was later recruited by Winegardner & Hammons, Inc. to manage a portfolio of full-service hotels including independent luxury, Hilton, Sheraton, Embassy, Marriott and select service brands. Klukan joined Marriott International in 2006 and has received several accolades such as Market Sales Team of the Year, Opening of the Year, Market Dominance Awards, F&B Excellence Awards and more.

In her role as general manager, Vallejos orchestrates all day-to-day operations for The Sinclair. With over 24 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Vallejos brings expertise, enthusiasm and vision to this iconic project. Throughout her tenure she has held multiple instrumental roles ranging from operations to sales for properties within the Marriott, IHG and Hilton portfolios. With her passion for exceeding the guest experience, Vallejos leads her teams with heart and dedication towards operational excellence. During her career she has achieved multiple operational and service accolades including Marriott's prestigious Diamond and Platinum Circle Awards.

Jackson-Shaw Begins Construction on 252-Room AC Hotel by Marriott in Fort Worth, Texas

Jackson-Shaw, a national real estate development company headquartered in North Texas, today commenced construction on the 252-room, 16-story AC Hotel Fort Worth in downtown Fort Worth. When the property opens in the fall of 2020, it will be the first AC Hotel by Marriott to debut in Tarrant County, Texas, offering travelers both a thoughtful approach to design and intuitive, elevated guest service. The hotel is rising on the southwest corner of Fifth and Main Street, adjacent to the historical art deco Kress Building, and only minutes away from wonderful restaurants, entertainment, shopping and night life options.
