The Ritz-Carlton, Fukuoka will open its doors on 21 June 2023, welcoming guests to the prefectural capital of Fukuoka on the island of Kyushu in southern Japan with the Ritz-Carlton legacy of fine hospitality and sophisticated design. Situated within the main tower of the Fukuoka Daimyo Garden City complex in the tech hub of Tenjin, the 167-room luxury hotel is the first by Marriott International to open in the Kyushu region, whose capital is a major gateway between Japan and other countries of Asia. The hotel's calm, modernist spaces will incorporate local art traditions such as Hakata-ori weaving and woven bamboo.

Radu Cernia has been appointed as General Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Fukuoka

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C., has recently announced the appointment of Radu Cernia as General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Fukuoka. Cernia brings a wealth of international experience to the luxury hotel, which is slated to open in the prefectural capital of Fukuoka on the island of Kyushu in southern Japan in late spring of this year. Part of the Fukuoka Daimyo Garden City complex, The Ritz-Carlton, Fukuoka is the first luxury hotel by Marriott International to open on the island and will be central to the Kyushu region's ongoing development as a global business hub.

Hotel JAL City Fukuoka Tenjin to Open in 2021

Okura Nikko Hotel Management Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Hotel Okura Co., Ltd., announced today that it will open Hotel JAL City Fukuoka Tenjin in 2021. The company has contracted with Fukuoka Tenjin Hotel Management GK to manage the new property, which will be located in the central Tenjin district of Fukuoka - one of Japan's largest and busiest cities, located strategically close to the Asian mainland. Sekisui House, Ltd., a renowned Japanese construction company, is now building the hotel and aiming to complete it by January 2021.

Josh Roberts has been appointed as General Manager at Hilton Fukuoka Sea

Replacing Christian Baudat as General Manager at the Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk is Josh Roberts, currently serving as Hotel manager at that property. He joined Hilton Worldwide as Director of Sales at Hilton Sydney in 2008 after a hospitality career in Australasia, where he gained experience and held commercial roles at properties in New Zealand, Perth, Canberra and Sydney. Following an appointment as Director of Business Development at Hilton Sydney in 2010, he subsequently relocated to Japan with his family in 2013, playing a key role in Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk’s trading success.
