Tomas Ford has been appointed as General Manager at Courtyard by Marriott Guayaquil

A 13-year industry veteran, Tomas began his hospitality career in 2005 at the Marriott Plaza Hotel, Buenos Aires as Front Office Supervisor. In 2008, he relocated to Europe where held different leadership positions in operations at the Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott, Bexleyheath Marriott, and Waltham Abbey Marriott Hotel. In 2013, Tomas was promoted to Executive Housekeeper at the Hanbury Manor, Marriott Hotel and Country Club. During his tenure in Europe, Tomas achieved outstanding results in associate engagement, house profit and guest satisfaction. He was also recognized as Manager of the Year in 2012.

Hotusa arrives in Ecuador with the launch of Exe Galería Man-Ging 4*

Eurostars Hotel Company, Grupo Hotusa's hotel division, has launched in Ecuador with the opening of the Exe Galería Man-Ging 4* (formerly the Hotel Galería Man-Ging) in the city of Guayaquil. The hotel, which is held under a lease, is now the sixteenth run by the company in Latin America, where it recently opened the Eurostars Panamá City 5* (in Panama City) and the Exe San José Center 4* (in San José, Costa Rica). The company, which has shown a firm commitment to expanding its operations in the region, has other projects in the area, the most notable of which is the Eurostars Torre Bacatá 5*. The hotel will be located in Bogotá (Colombia), and will be the tallest hotel on the continent. Exe Galería Man-Ging 4* is located in a modern and functional 5-storey building, and houses 94 spacious rooms that are all perfectly soundproofed and fully-equipped to meet the needs of even the most demanding guests. The hotel, which completed a full renovation of its facilities in 2011, has two meeting rooms equipped with the most advanced audiovisual equipment and with capacity for up to 80 people. It also has a full gym. Likewise, the hotel restaurant "La Bienal" specializes in local cuisine and seafood dishes.
