The development of Hamburg's iconic Elbtower is progressing into its next phase: the PRIMESTAR Group has been selected to operate the future Hilton Hamburg Elbtower, marking Hilton's debut in the Hanseatic city. PRIMESTAR Group, one of Europe's leading independent hospitality platforms, was awarded the hotel project by the investor consortium led by real estate investor Dieter Becken.

CityHub Announces Hamburg Hotel Development, Expanding its European Footprint

CityHub, the Netherlands-based hospitality brand known for reimagining the conventional hotel room through its Hubs-based and tech-enabled accommodation, has confirmed plans to develop its fifth European location with the conversion of an existing property in Hamburg. The new site marks CityHub's first hotel conversion and its entry into the German market, with plans to expand further following successful launches in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Copenhagen, and Reykjavik.

First voco Hotel for Hamburg: NOVUM Hospitality and IHG Hotels & Resorts Confirm Joint Growth in the Upscale Segment

The Hamburg-based hotel group NOVUM Hospitality and IHG Hotels & Resorts arecontinuing their expansion plans with another project under the voco Hotels brand: a long-term lease was recently signed for the new voco Hamburg-Altona, featuring 143 rooms. Following the voco Berlin Alexanderplatz announced in June, this is already the second upscale hotel project being realized as part of the strategic collaboration between the two hotel companies.

Ibis Styles Hamburg HafenCity Opening Mid-2025

In Hamburg's HafenCity district, the Ibis Styles Hamburg HafenCity will offer 403 rooms, along with a breakfast restaurant and hotel bar. The hotel is part of a larger district development, which will include shopping, leisure, and entertainment options. The adjacent Novotel Hamburg HafenCity, also opening in 2025, will complement the new Ibis Styles hotel. Moreover, it will feature 163 rooms and "THE FLAVE" restaurant. Both hotels will be managed by Accor under a management contract.

Michael Nöske got to know the hotel industry as a receptionist and shift manager at Holiday Inn Frankfurt before he worked in well-known hotels such as Maritim Frankfurt or Fleming's Hotel Frankfurt. After being a General Manager in Cologne and Munich, he joined IntercityHotel as General Manager in Hamburg and Vienna.
