Torsten van Dullemen has been appointed as General Manager at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong

Mr Van Dullemen has held several senior hotel management positions within the Group - most recently as General Manager of the iconic Mandarin Oriental, Manila, which closed in 2014. Torsten first joined the company in 2004 as Resident Manager of Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, and was also Hotel Manager of the Group’s award-winning Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok property, and General Manager of the Group’s former hotel in Chiang Mai.

Richard M. Simmons has been appointed as General Manager at Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Tsui

As an international hotelier who has true passion for the industry, Mr. Simmons has an impressive career in hospitality management spanning in Australia, United Kingdom and throughout Asia Pacific for over 20 years. Mr. Simmons has numerous years of experience in various hospitality disciplines, from Revenue Management through Front Office Operations to Marketing and Sales in a number of properties, including the prominent Hyatt Regency Birmingham in United Kingdom, Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok in Thailand and Hyatt Regency Dubai in United Arab Emirates. Mr. Simmons was appointed as the General Manager at Hyatt Regency Johor Bahru in Malaysia in 2007 and then moved to Grand Hyatt Macau in 2009 and responsible for hotel operations and revenue management initiatives which proved his strong leadership skills with strategic directions. Most recently, Mr. Simmons was the General Manager of Hyatt Regency Hotel and Casino Manila.

Stephen Fewell has been appointed as General Manager at Swissôtel Beijing, Hong Kong Macau Center

Swissôtel Beijing, Hong Kong Macau Center has appointed Stephen Fewell as general manager. Fewell arrives back at Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts after holding the title of general manager for Langham Place Hotel, Beijing, China. Fewell started with Swissôtel in 2008 as the general manager of Swissôtel Kunshan and later moved to the Swissôtel in Sochi, where he and his team prepared for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.

Mael Vastine has been appointed as General Manager at OZO Wesley Hong Kong

Holding a bachelor degree in international business and information technology as well as a master degree in management, Mael has built his career within the Accor Group since 2006. Starting as a General Manager of three hotels under various Accor brands in London, he was then promoted to be Area General Manager of London. He moved to China in 2009 as General Manager of Ibis Beijing Sanyuan, followed by the position of Director Delegate to supervise 18 Ibis properties in Eastern China. Prior to joining ONYX Hospitality Group, Mael was the Resident Manager of the Ibis Hong Kong Central and Sheung Wan Hotel. Mael will lead the operations team of OZO Wesley and report to Simon Dell – Vice President of Operations of ONYX’s North Asia division.

Christopher Hur has been appointed as Recipient of the Inaugural ISHC Rising Star Award Asia Pacific at The International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC)

The International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC) and the Hotel Investment Conference Asia Pacific (HICAP) presented Christopher Hur with the 2014 inaugural Rising Star Award Asia Pacific. As the Vice President of Acquisitions & Development of Host Hotels & Resorts, Hur plays an important role in the investment decisions that Host makes in the Asia Pacific region. Hur has lived and worked in Asia for the past seven years and is a graduate of Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration.
